This place came highly recommended by my friend who has an awesome tank. So i paid this place a visit. Unfortunately I was not impressed. I was looking for tropical salt water fish, and their variety was not that great (although they did have really nice selection of star fish and reefs) The prices were not that great either. I was in the market of replacement filters, and they were like one and a half as much i am used to paying...
PROS: nice reefs
CONS: pricey and not great a selection
I have been looking all over for a good fish place. They are knowledgeable, and have a wide variety of healthy fish. I have bought fish from the big chains, but they always seem to bring some virus into my tank. Although they sell all kinds of fish, i enjoy the salt water fish (i bought a percula clown and a tomato clown there last time) The staff was knowledgeable, and very helpful. They made sure that all the fish in my tank would go well with eachother, and said that i could always return the fish if there was a compatability problem..
The prices are even good for such a great place.
PROS: great selection and quality and service
CONS: kind of far from my home
I have gotten my haircut here several times, and have not had a bad cut yet. I like the fact that the stylists dont talk your ear off when they cut your hair. They actually pay attention to the cut, and it comes out all right. The price is a little high compared to supercuts or something like that, but well worth the extra cash
PROS: good haircut, not too much jib jabbering
CONS: a little pricey
This place is anything but inspiring. The restaurant itself is in a nice place with ample seating and warm feeling. The last time I went there (and trust me it will be the last) the service was horrible. We were in no rush, but it still took an hour to get our food, and it was not busy. Along with the marginal service, the food is marginal. All our sushi was mediocre at best (someone compared the sushi to that of costcos) The miso soup was too strong and bitter. The rainbow roll was eh.. all other dishes were decent at best. Only good thing is they offer big beers, which make the time go by a little better whne you are waiting for your food...
The prices seem pretty decent, until you realize the time it takes to get the food and the quality of the food...... not really worth it
PROS: nice feel for the restaurant
CONS: not good sushi, horrible service..... waste of time/money
Although the looks of this place may decieve, this place is great. It is locked right beside a car dealership. By the looks of the place you wouldnt expect such good sushi. I like good sushi.. and this is good sushi. Their rainbow rolls are one of the best and the unagi is great. I have eaten here plenty of times, and it is always good. People say it is the best in San Diego. I dont know about that, but it is pretty dang good. People also interchange it with sushi itto (one in hillcrest) not so... this place is way better....
go for the rainbow roll, the unagi, and same carpaccio....
Of course, sushi is a little on the expensive side, so it is a little pricey. Compared to other sushi joints, it is very comparative.
PROS: great fresh sushi, good prices
CONS: not the greatest of locations
I wouldnt think there would actually be a place only for wings (well they have other things, but why would you want anything else) The wings are great. They have good deals if you order in quantity, like 12 or more. Their sauces range from tame.... to burn a hole through your mouth. Warning... it is hot... If you think it is too hot, try a little ranch, it makes it better. Then try and eat some of the carrots or celery to cool down a little bit... Then next time, order a little cooler... Nice place to watch the game, they have tvs around and all you can drink soda
PROS: great wings with good sauce, cheap prices
CONS: watch out, they can get hot....
Hey, pizza with different style crusts is great. The best part about pizza is the bread with the sauce and cheese and goodies. The crusts are normally thrown away. At Hungry Howies, they have made the crusts good too. Try cajun, butter parmesan and other flavors (i like the cajun though). Good prices and they have coupons floating around. I think they charge for delivery, but i always pick up. They have these all over the place (well i frequent this one and the one in Poway) both have good pizzas...
PROS: good pizzas, good crusts, good prices
CONS: gotta find me some coupons
i am no food snob... and this is not fine dining. But in a squeeze this place is good. As long as you get the supreme, rahter than the regular, it is good. Their grilled stuffed steak burrito is good (on a good day, on a bad day, you get very little steak). Their meal deals are good and cheap. Nice place in a squeeze.
PROS: nice cheap eats
CONS: sometimes the dont give you enough meat
What happened to Micky Ds? Back in the day they had the greatest fries and their chicken nuggets/big macs were pretty good too. Now their food is horrible. Their fries are tasteless, and cold, and really really bad. Their big mac was really bad too. My friend got indigestion. It just sits in your stomach and chills just to make you feel bad for a couple of hours. i hadnt had mcds for years, and broke down the other day. Much to the chagrin of my stomach......
Never ever going again. Dont care if they are giving away free best buy dollars... or even free food
PROS: umm.... open late
CONS: bad food, not even cheap....
Ovarall the pizza at CPK is good. They have plenty of variety (the mushroom pizza with many types of mushrooms is great) Their salads are good. Their pasta is all right too. I would stick with the pizzas, cant really go wrong with them. The service is great (except if you have a huge party, then, like any place it takes fooooorever.) Only drawback is that it is a little pricey for what you get.
PROS: good pizza with good variety to chose from
CONS: a little pricey for what you get
