I've long lamented the lack of *good* Chinese food that delivers to me in Tinley. We tried China Cuisine and will definitely order from them again. They offer combination specials that come with fried rice and an egg roll (MORE than enough food for dinner and lunch the next day!)and they are a bargain for a lunchtime price of $4.50. The pad thai was not good--I'll stick to a thai restaurant for that next time. The orange chicken has large, generous chicken pieces and a flavorful sauce. The egg rolls are delicious, as is the teriyaki beef sticks. Delivery was speedy, too.
PROS: large portions for combination plates
CONS: skip the pad thai
This is hands-down, my favorite furniture store. They are huge and have salespeople who are very attentive, without being pesty or overbearing. They have decent financing and great 0% deals often advertised. The store is very organized by brand, and they have a design center that can help you find something to fit your style. You can find great bargains in their marked and reduced room. Some things may have the slightest scratch that can't be easily noticed, and the item gets way marked down. Can't beat a good bargain!
We were looking for a small entertainment center that was oak, and at major furniture stores, everything was way out of our price range. I found exactly what I was looking for here, and it is very solid, quality wood, not pressboard junk. You can pay extra to have it assembled, which my husband wishes he did-the directions that accompanied it were not very good. But the price could not be beat. I'll be back soon to look for a computer desk.
Personally, I am not a fan of the modern, stark, Scandinavian like furniture at Dania. I was looking for a chair and was astounded at the price tags of several items. Even *sale* prices seemed too steep. I think a lot of what you see here can be found for less elsewhere, like Ikea.
This is such a neat gift idea--bouquets of fresh fruit, candy and cookies. When my sister-in-law had a baby, I brought her an arrangement when visiting. She thought it was awesome. They also offer themed items. I am going this week to get some St. Patrick's Day green-dipped strawberries. They are a little on the costly side, but I think they're appreciated more than flowers would be.
I'm not normally a patrons of resales stores, so I was pleasantly surprised when I checked out this place. I was looking for some maternity wear, since I wouldn't be wearing it long, and found just what I was looking for at near-new condition. They have great items for children, and since they grow out of stuff so fast, this is a great alternative to buying all new.
Shear Express is a good, affordable option when you want to just maintain a look, i.e. get a trim or basic haircut. They'll take walk-ins and do an excellent job with kids' hair. I'd prefer a full-fledged* salon* for evening styles or coloring, but for basic maintenance it's an okay place.
When the neighborhood car repair shop we used closed down, they referred their former customers to Carey's, vouching for the uality of their work. Since I believed in my mechanic's integrity and quality, I took their referral and found they were right. Carey's is a typical neighborhood car shop. Honest, friendly service that doesn't make you feel like your'e being taken for a ride. I'd rather give the business to a small business owner like this one, rather than a big dealership that only wants to drain your bank account.
This *village* of toys is such a wonderful place to find worthwhile and educational toys for children. They have a lovely religious materials section, and I've found treasures here both as a parent and an educator. The Curiosity Shop features science-themed toys and kits. They also host different in-store events like arts-&-crafts and games.
I love this car wash. They offer local coupons in connection with the adjacent oil change place, so for the cost of an oil change, you also can get your car washed, and they do a thorough inside-and-out job. They are quick and do most of the work manually. My car doesn't get any cleaner than at Fullers.
