While vacationing in Mackinaw City, I stayed here during the last few days of my vacation. Earlier, I stayed at a "luxury" hotel across the steet, but this hotel was just as good. Other than not being able to have a "lake view" I enjoyed my stay here. It was Very clean. There's an indoor pool. There's a play area, they offered coupons to local businesses. They had cable tv. They were nice. When I go back to Mackinaw City, I plan to stay here again.
I have visited this library a few times, usually because I am in the neighborhood. There is nothing spectacular or unusually good or interesting about it. It is small. The staff is friendly. There are books on most subjects, but they should update some of the books (it is now 2005). The bathroom is nice and clean. They do have movie rentals.
A friend recommended this store, and I'm glad they did. I drove a good distance, but, after getting there, I did not mind. Everything was neatly arranged. There is a large assortment of EVERYTHING to choose from. The quality of their items are nice, so, do not hesitate to shop from here because the price is only a dollar. They have many brand name items. They even have food. One of the best!
I've taken children here several times for them to have a day of fun. This place is small, but children and adults can have fun here. They offer sections for the smaller and larger children to play. This adds to safety. Many games can be played after purchasing tokens. Adults can ride on some of the rides too. If you're hungry, there is food that can be purchased. I don't like the food, but I guess the children will. You can purchase a all day pass (your hand will be stamped in case you want to leave and come back. Adult admission is free.
Whenever I was in the area (usually during the day when it was not crowded), I would stop here because I had coupons and they always seemed to do a good job. One day, I stopped here on a busy saturday, and wished I hadn't. I guess because it was so busy, they pushed the cars through the washer very rapidly. The Washer malfunctioned, and my car was sandwiched between 2 vehicles. I watched my car being constantly bumped. The son of the owner was extemely mean to me. He had no sympathy at all. He treated me like dirt, to say the least. Later, when I talked to the owner, he was much nicer and offered to fix the front of my car. I was so upset, that I never went back to get it fixed or to ever again use their services. His son made me so upset, that I just gave the situation over to God because what goes around comes around. God WILL repay! I didn't have time for the stess.
While driving down the steet, I saw a beautiful couch in the window, so, I asked my husband if we could turn around and go inside. The owner was very nice. As a whole, most of the items are older. So if older is what you're looking for, this place is for you. It's a little drabby in there. I did find a nice armoire. The price was nice, but delivery was overpriced. I decided not to buy it. Check it out for yourself...You might find something nice. If you can, take your own truck and save $.
I travel a very long distance shop here because there are many great finds here. This is a Jewish thrift store. If you want to find things of Jewish culture, you'll find plenty of it here. There are unique, high quality things. Some things are expensive, but it's worth buying it. You'll also find less expensive things too. It's really big. They have different hours in summer than in winter.
Please see a movie here at least one time in your life. You will NEVER forget it! It's located at Navey Pier down town Chicago. The movies are about an hour long. The movie screen is amazingly huge. The movies are seen in 3D, so, as you might guess, it seems like you are actually IN the movie. I saw a show about swiming dolphins. It seemed like I was swimming with them. The sound helps this effect. There are usually a couple of movies playing at one time. Shows do sell out quickly, so , you may want to order ahead.
I took my car here for an estimate. I was highly impressed at how clean an auto body business could be. The area where they are working on cars is even clean. The office is extemely clean and smells nice(totally different and rare). Outside the lawn is perfect and there are flowers. They give free, fast, though, and honest estimates. They even let me know that by law, only one estimate is required if there is an accident. Excellent work!
The only thing that I don't like about this car wash is that it's hard to drive your car into the stall to get it washed. Other than that, I have no complaints. They do a good job at hand washing your car. The prices are nice. They are friendly. Once, they dented my car, but they immediately took care of it. They paid for it to be fixed at my dealer, so, the car ended up in it's origional condition. In addition, they even offered to detail it for me, but I never made the time to get it done (studpid me!)
PROS: Nice people and prices. Trustworthy
