Metro Bowl
Metro Bowl is located on the north part of Airline Highway. This is a wonderful bowling alley. It has been recently renovated and it is top quality. Everything is electronic. Cartoons play after each bowl you roll. They have great prices on their bowling. It is a smaller alley than the others in town but this place is very nice. They offer a small counter that you can order snacks from.
Don Carter's All Star Lanes
Don Carters is the nicest bowling alley in Baton Rouge. They are also one of the larger ones. They offer bowling leagues during the week, galactic bowling on the weekends and birthday parties anytime. Don Carters lanes are fully electronic and maintained very well. They offer an area to play pool as well. This is an excellent facility to bowl at.
Circle Bowling Lanes
Circle Bowl is located across the street from Cortana mall. This bowling alley offers over 25 lanes. It is very well kept. On the weekends, the bowling alley offers a disk jockey that plays the latest hits. Part of the bowling alley can be used as a dance floor. Many of the teens dance the latest dances.They also have a game room that you can earn tickets in. You can redeem your tickets for prizes. The bowling alley also features a bar that is located on the side. It is not in the main area for anyone to walk through.
Blue Bayou Waterpark
Blue Bayou is the only water park you can visit anywhere near Baton Rouge. The price is a little steep to get in. It is around $30. I would expect to pay that at a big name theme park. Overall, the park is fun. They have waterslides for all different ages. They have a wave pool as well. There is a large area just for small children. This area has small slides and a play area. The park offers food for purchase. The food is a little expensive. You are not allowed to bring food into the park so if you are hungry you will have to buy it from them. This park is fun for all ages.
Baptist Collegiate Ministry
The Baptist Collegiate Ministry is located on Louisiana State University's campus. It is a place for students to gather with each other. The BCM holds weekly services on Thursday nights. The services will have a live band, and a guest speaker for the night. Twice a week, the BCM offers hot lunches that are sponsered by local churches. This is a wonderful place to meet other people who love the Lord and just want to worship Him.
Lsu Union Theater
The LSU union theater is a very large theater that the school hosts live events in. The school will holds comedians, plays, recitals, musicals and more in this theater. Students can usually get in at a discount. The theater is old though. It looks like it did in the seventies. It could use a nice face lift. The seating is raised so this makes viewing very nice.
Louislana State University & A & M College
Louisiana State University is a public university located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. LSU offers a full selection of degree programs for all different types of people. They are a 4 year college. LSU is known for it's champions in football, baseball and lady's basketball. LSU prides itself in its academics and sports. LSU also has a graduate school and a night school. Tuition is in line with most public universities. If you want to go to a school you can take pride in, come to LSU.
Reflections Inc
Refelctions is located right across the street from Cortana Mall. Do not let the location of this hall fool you. This is one of the prettiest halls in Baton Rouge. They have a large hardwood dance floor. The also have a full bar that is raised off the dance floor. They can set up your party for all tables to be raised off the floor as well so you can enjoy the whole are for dancing and all your guest are able to see the party. The decor is absolutely beautiful. They offer great tasting catering as well. This is a lovely reception hall.
Stage 1
Stage one is a lovely reception hall. Stage One will also hold wedding ceremonies on the premises. The reception hall has an open ballroom. It is one large room. Stage one is very elegant and beautifully decorated. There is a stairway that lines one side of the room for the bride to make a grand entrance from. They also have a courtyard area for guest to enjoy. You can elect to have them cater your event as well.
Goudeaus Health & Atrobics Club
Goudeaus is one of the ladies only gyms in Baton Rouge. It is located right off the interstate at College Drive. Goudeaus monthly fees are about in line with what most of the gyms in town are charging. They offer a weight/equipment room. This room is full of different work out equipment. They also offer a room full of treadmills and eliptical machines. This room offers cardio theater. TVs line the wall and you can listen to them with your own headphones. This makes working out very enjoyable. They also feature a room with spinning and an aerobics room. This is a very nice club.
