I love this YMCA. The gym has pleanty of equipment so there is always something available. There are classes upon classes if you are interested in aerobics, spinning, water aerobics, you name it. The facility is clean and new. The childcare center is very nice as well. My son loves it. Additionally the rates are very reasonable.
We found out that my 2 year-old son had a vision problem when he was one. Unable to verbalize we didn't know the extent until recently. Our previous pediatric optometrist had no bedside manner. We found Dr. Welter at the Children's Eye Care Center and were pleasantly surprised at the warmth. Even though the news we learned was not good, it made a difference to hear it in this way. And that's the sign of a good doctor.
We were directed to St. Vincent's for my son. He was to take an upper GI. We were given some poor directions when we arrived, so things did not start off well. After we got lost, we met a super freindly nurse, who walked us where we needed to go after calling ahead and explaining our, by now, lateness. The correct unit was staffed with nurses and docotrs who made us all comfortable. What could have been a problem became much easier. Recommended highly.
Finding a doctor for your children is always a stressful situation. When we recently moved to Perrsyburg, we were nervous. The staff at Perrysburg Pediatrics made us feel like we were supposed to be there. They were so good with my son and made the transition to a new place much smoother than it could have been. They also offered us referrals to other physicians as we needed. You can feel safe here.
When I found that my door handle on my 1997 Chevy pickup was breaking, taking my door lock with it, I was worried that I would be taken advantage of by a mechanic or overcharged by a dealer's service department. Sockman did neither. In fact they completed the repair for less than the original estimate. I didn't think that was possible. The employees were all friendly and helpful.
I'm new to the area and the search for a reliable place to get your car fixed is a necessary but unpleasant one. I was referred to Speck when I found a nail in my tire. They offered to drive me to work and pick me up when they finished. They offered a free courtesy check of fluids and belts. I can honestly say that they were an answer to prayer and a comfort.
My son loved this place. Who wouldn't??? He is two and they have a slide inside the shop. The chairs at each station are cars or planes or firetrucks. They play videos as each child chooses while the haircuts are done. They also cut daddy's hair (from experience) and offer packages they call Daddy's Day out and Mommy's Day Out. Each features a variety of options and haircuts for each person. A lot of fun for everyone.
My wife has been going here for about five months and she is one happy customer. She began as a member of the Jazzercize class but began having her hair done here shortly thereafter. We also found out that they are a great place to have children's haircuts as well. My wife's stylist also cut my two-year old son's. She was very good with him in the chair. A really nice place.
Nannas is THE place for kids books in Perrysburg. They have a fantastic room at the back of the store filled to the brim with Thomas the Tank Engine pieces. Kids are free to play in this room as long as they like. There are all types of books here. Series are featured as are random items. There is something for kids of all ages.
This is a really friendly bank. You feel like you are important when you do your banking. The tellers and the management know many of the regular customers. If possible, they will do what they can to help. They lack some services of larger banks or branches, like notary service. But that is a small price to pay for the other services they do offer.
PROS: Friendly and helpful
CONS: Lacks some services
