I was surprised that there were not more options when it came to bagels in Perrysburg. For a while, I was afraid my only option was Panera, before I stumbled across Barry Bagels. While it falls short of Einsteins, it works. They have a variety of bagels and cream cheeses to choose from. As for lunch, they also feature many sandwiches. It is a simple store with no real decor to speak of, but simple is okay. They are not quite as good or as polished as Einstein Bros., but still good.
For those who've been there before, Blue Pacific Grill is very similar to BDs Mongolian Barbeque. You choose you rown uncooked meat and place it in a bowl. Choose from steak to chicken to turkey to seafood. There are a lot of options. Then add your choice of veggies, spices and sauces. Again the options are mid boggling. You pass your bowl to the cook staff who stand around a large circle that is a grill and they cook it for all to see. This is a part of the show. It's entertaining and the food is great. It's served with noodles or rice and is worth the money.
PROS: Great food, fun atmosphere
This is a wonderful Italian restaurant. They make you feel like you're dining in a 5-star restaurant even though you're in the middle of Northwestern Ohio. The menu features alot of variety from standards like lasgna and veal parmigian to some more unique chiecken dishes they label as specialties. It is not the cheapest place to dine but it is comparable with Olive Garden's prices for better quality food.
PROS: Great place to dine
CONS: Not cheap
I am a chili lover and Skyline is good, but not the best I've had. Maybe I'm guilty of comparing apples and oranges, but the hotdogs are the smallest I've ever gotten. On the bright side, when you order cheese fries, they pile the cheese high, however, it's shredded cheese and unmelted, so good luck lifting it with the fries. Surprisingly, the best thing I've found on the menu is the burrito, which is covered in a virtual salad. For the money, it's the best, in my opinion.
PROS: Good chili
CONS: small hotdogs, unmelted cheese
You'd never know it, but this place is really good. It's just off of 795 east of I-75. It sits near the entrance to an industrial park-like area. The food is great! It reminds me of an old small-town diner where the food is made fresh to order. You can get anything from greasy spoon type stuff to a selection of salads. They have a children's menu as well. And the wait staff is easy of the eyes, to be sure. It's a comfortable place for everyone, as evidenced by the clientele, ranging from bikers in leather to businessmen in suits.
PROS: A down home diner, good food
CONS: only open for breakfast and lunch
I am used to shopping at Super Target, with the grocery section and all. But I must admit, this Target store is very nice. I love the wide aisles and the relative quiet the store allows for shoppers. There is no annoying overhead announcements constantly blaring. They always seem to have products in stock and the employees seem to be helpful. A great place to shop. A little of almost everything.
PROS: A little of everything at a good value
CONS: no grocery section
For a town that doesn't feature many sit down pizza places, Mancino's may be the best. Is it the best pizza, no, but the atmosphere is better than the only other dine-in pizza place I've found in Perrysburg, Gino's East. If you want to go eat pizza, by all means visit Mancino's. If you want to get a good pizza, you're probably better off with take-out or delivery.
PROS: good, not great, pizza; nice atmosphere
CONS: there is better pizza
I am a life-long Taco Bell fan, but this one is enough to make me rethink my allegiance. The food is always good, I must admit, but the state of the building is not good. The floors are always sticky and there is trash visible throughout the store. I have even been there as they open the door and entered to find the restaurant less than clean. If you must have Taco Bell, as I must at times, go here. But if not, I'd advise you to stay away.
PROS: Good food
CONS: Unclean floors, not tidy
This is without a doubt, my favorite of all Arby's restaurants. It is new, which always helps in terms of cleanliness. In addition, for some reason, there is rarely a crowd here, which this review may cause to stop. But, it is such a good restaurant, I hope more people find and enjoy it. They are friendly and helpful behind the counter and I have yet to be disatisfied with the food I've received.
PROS: clean, good food, friendly
I love McDonalds, but the problem is often they are not as clean as I would like. Many are older buildings. But this one is new and clean. They spend a great deal of time keeping it that way. At any time, there are multiple employees out cleaning the eating area. In addition, they make huge ice cream cones at this location.
PROS: Clean and big ice cream cones
