Prices are fair, selection is limited, the best part is that it is convenient to interbay and bayshore area, where there is no close grocery store. Customer service is okay. Isn't my favorite place to shop for groceries, but it is convenient for when I just need a few items.
I love going in this store, they have the largest and best selection of asian food. Fresh and frozen, canned and packaged. Also cool oriental stuff such as dishes, ornamentals, etc. There are some weird things in jars near the deli counter, though. Workers are very nice, as well.
If you are a chicken about going to the dentist like I am, you might want to try Dr. Pulliam. He and his hygenists are the best, they never make you wait, and very gentle. His cost is very reasonable and is in network with many health care plans.
A self-help program modeled after the 12-step program of Alcoholics Anonymous for family members and/or loved ones of addicted individuals or anyone that might consider themselves "codependent". Helpful organizations for people to learn to stop enabling others and to learn to care for themselves. Spiritually-based, but not religious. Wonderful.
Long-standing, lesser known charity organizations that provide assistance to underprivileged, addicted, or mentally ill individuals. A variety of programs available to assist with housing, treatment for chemical dependency and/or mental illness, and medical care for homeless. Great organization and well-staffed.
The place for compulsive gamblers to call or go in order to receive help for their gambling addiction. A self-help group based on the 12-step model of recovery of Alcoholics Anonymous, this organization utilizes a spiritual, behavioral, and mutually supportive program for recovery from compulsive gambling. Great organization.
This is the location of the Salvation Army Red Lodge Inn, or the local homeless shelter. It is one of the few in the area, and they appear to do the best they can with what they have. It is the option that people go to when there are no other options, but it is shelter and keeps people off the street if they have no where else to go. Good job.
Regis at University Mall is a good salon - good haircuts and good color at decent prices. I got fed up paying for high dollar hair cuts at designer salons and not getting good results. One downside is the wait - I usually have to wait about 20 minutes for the hair stylist because he is running behind, but often times it is worth it because he really takes a lot of time with me to find out what it is that I want.
PROS: Godd quality, good prices
These guys are great for loans. I have financed my last three cars from GTE, and they consistently offer the lowest interest rate over all the other banks and mortgage companies I have checked into. They are friendly, customer service oriented, and opening an account is very simple. I give them an A+.
PROS: great loans
I bought a few things from this furniture consignment shop when it first opened a few years ago. Since that time, it has expanded greatly, along with greatly inflated prices. Most of their things are beyond my price range, even with them being previously owned. Don't get me wrong, some of the stuff is exquisite, but a wee bit overpriced.
PROS: Nice stuff
