I attended the graduate program for social work and I found it to be excellent. The program was small, and in the middle of the program the budget was cut further, but I enjoyed the experience for the most part. Some of the professors were really good and I utilize what I learned there in my profession as a social worker.
PROS: Good social work program
CONS: small program in a big school
Clean, tidy store. Excellent deals - prices are already low, and then get really low in the clearance section. These are name-brand items as well, that were overstocked or discontinued. Something for everyone - home items, linens, purses, shoes, clothing, jewelry, even rugs! I've shopped for all of my christmas and birthday gifts here.
PROS: Great deals
Love the shoes, home goods, and especially the prices! The customer service is not that great, the store can be unorganized and messy, and the lines very long - but the deals are great and are worth the hassle. I have found great things in every department - towels, sheets, garden stuff, mirrors, shoes, clothes, undergarment, most of them name brand.
PROS: Great deals
CONS: Long lines, unorganized store
If you are looking for high quality, name brand shoes at decent prices, definitely check this store out. Expect to spend some money, but they feature a lot of name brand, well crafted shoes that would normally be out of my price range. Customer service is good, helpful, and friendly.
PROS: Name brand shoes, good prices
Very fresh produce, although better in season. Customer service is fairly good. The bakery is really good, particularly the breads. Management is nice to talk to and cares about the customers. Sometimes the lines can get fairly long, but they usually open another lane if that happens. Sometime prices are a little higher than other grocery stores, but it is worth it to me.
I have never purchased any shoes at this store even though I have been there many times. The case is usually that I think that the price is too high for a discount shoe store or I don't see anything I like. One time I found something I liked, but my size was not available.
CONS: Don't have the prices or the selection for a discount shoe store.
Kirklands has a lot of generic home and garden furnishings, rarely do they have unique pieces. However, occasionally I can find a good buy such as an unusual lawn ornament on sale for 15 bucks or a lamp on sale for 8 bucks. The staff is friendly and helpful overall.
PROS: Some good buys
CONS: Not much originality
I can almost always find a good buy here, from some unusual piece of clothing (last time there I found a silk kimono top for 3 bucks) to a book to a trinket or piece of furniture. Some of the furniture is over priced, but they usually have some type of sale or are negotiable. Customer service is okay.
PROS: Good buys
Excellent selection of vintage clothing from all eras, particularly the 40's and 50's. Also has jewelry (lovely collection of silver jewelry with semiprecious stones), shoes, hats, and other accessories. Also imported clothes such as hawaiian outfits and kimono's. Expensive, particularly some of the fancier dresses, but you get what you pay for.
PROS: Wide selection
This store has wonderful, trendy stuff for teens and younger adults. Their clothing is quality, but tends to be quite on the expensive side. They issue a catalogue, which is well laid out and attractive, and you can see what the clothing looks like on and also gives an idea of what to wear each piece with. In Ybor, which is also fun.
PROS: Nice stuff
