This store looks tiny from the outside, but don't let appearance decive you - it's full of all sorts of painting, prints, books, frames, and different lighting conditions to experience all aspects of the work. I got my mom a Thomas Kinkade piece here and she loved it. She got another one next Christmas, and loved it, too. They carry a wide selection of different sizes, and have cheese & crackers upon arriving. A classy place.
Daffy Dan's has been in business since I was a small child, and their business has lasted so long because of the high-quality, fine shirts they print up. You're entirely in control of what your t-shirt looks like. When you go to the mall, frustrated you can't find what you want, Daffy's is the place to turn. You can create virtually any design with any colors or lettering.
It is expensive, but well worth it for what you get in the end.
Sturdy, high-quality athletic apparel is sold here - top brand names (Adidas, Nike, Reebok) at very competitive prices. It's made of light, airy material for your body to breathe as you get through high-endurance workouts. I loaded up on t-shirts here; my favorite red t-shirt with white adidas lettering came from here, and I wear it all the time when I go rollerblading now. No doubt, I will be back before summer starts for new workout clothes. : )
As a 21 year old who either ate my mom's meals or got food from my college's dining halls, I had little cooking experience. When I got a new boyfriend and wanted to impress him, I took cooking lessons here. We had so much fun preparing different dishes in class - the instructors were nice, and I made friends who were learning along with me. After masterpieces had been made, I'd bring them home and store them for when my boyfriend arrived. BOY, he thought I was a regular Emeril! I took 6 sessions, enough for me to get the hang of it and do it on my own. Thanks!!!
This is an impressive bookstore. It has used and rare books that make nice gifts for collectors and enthusiasts of particular authors. It is gigantic - tall wooden bookcases with numerous shelves completely stacked. I love the stone flooring, too; it compliments the books well. The books are well cared for and in alphabetical order for quick finding, plus the store clerks are always willing to help you find something.
The Backyard Nature Company offers an assortment of wooden, natural items for your backyard. Hammocks to lounge in, bird feeders and bird seed, posts, keychains that chirp, plush animals, interesting rocks, and informational books. I got a birdfeeder that attracts finches, and we've been getting bright yellow finches in our backyard ever since. They have hummingbird feeders, too, which can draw in 40 hummingbirds at one time. Great store.
Civita's Tailoring offers fast stitching and can make alterations of any kind - on leather, suede, jeans, etc. I had a production of "Bye Bye Birdie" where they altered my poodle skirt, and also a wedding, where the dress from David's Bridal was a bit too long. What's nice is they make alterations in very quick timing.
This golf course is completely worth the drive! It has 27 holes (three nines) on very good greens with excellent conditions. The course is creative and contouring, with moderate elevation changes and lots of water and sand hazards - a golfer's recipe for a great game. It offers terrific par 4s, especially the finishing hole on the East 9th, which is a enjoyable downhill par 4. Wind can be a big factor on this course as it is relatively open, but it makes for a terrific game, and for terrific practice. An A+ course.
This golf course offers nothing more than 30-some low-quality holes. The conditions are way below standard; for example, it's 30 yards long, but only one yard wide. The fairways are sparsely lined and hard to distinguish from the rough - they just seem to blend together, which isn't a good thing. The sand traps look horrible and seem to be an afterthought. Overall, the course is sloppily designed and makes for a terrible game.
This is a par 72 championship golf course with deep lakes, streams, tall grasses, mature trees, and young trees beginning to grow. In this course, wind is always a factor, and the manufactured elevation changes make it tough and give you a long game. If you like par 5s, there are five of them to test your power and placement. The signature island green holds a deadly par 3. Needless to say, you'll need plenty of balls at this course. Grey Hawk provides hours and hours to a great game, but beware: there is no walking rate and it is currently cart path only.
