I first started yachting in high school, participating in the Redondo Union HIgh School Yacht Club. It was here where i was introduced to The RB Yacht Club.
As a member, one involves the benefits of a newsletter which features local yachting events as well as social gatherings. I wouldn't reccomend joining if you don't really know anybody in the club already, only because most of these old men are rather snobby and have predefined niches.
Now that i'm out of high school, i'm no longer a member.
I would recommend that you call them up and ask when the next "Novice and Amature Yachting Social" is, because it is here where you can make a solid decision on whether or not to join.
For the professionals: Go for it. Get with a few buddies and join together, it would make the experience alot more enjoyable.
Either way, good luck! Once you're in, its a whole lot of fun.
It must have been forever and a day ago that i went to this fine institution. Themed around the idea of being a 'Jungle,' Beryl is complete with labeled streets and corridors and a very helpful, student published biweekly newsletter entitled 'The Jungle Beat."
The teachers, as far as i recall (my brother just finished grade school here last year) the teachers are very caring individuals who cater to the students needs explicitly.
Beryl is centered around Student, Parent, and Teacher commitment so parents especially should strive to contribute to the school as much as they can, most helpful being volunteer hours.
Everytime i sit down to watch an episode of Friends i always end up turning the telivison on to see Mike Diamond's BRILLIANT white and green truck on screen with his charismatic self insisting that the viewer call for general home repairs. so finally one night, i do.
My roof'd been leaking for 3 or 4 days and the land lord was too much of a jerk to fix it, so Mike came out... or wait, not mike. It was infact an illiterate hispanic gentlemen with a good work ethic but poor grooming abilities. His lack of cleniliness sent an odor throughout the apartment building for days to come. In any case, he not only did NOT fix the cieling, but went on to leave an enormous hole in cieling, exposing spiderwebs, wires, and air ducts. At this point i kindly asked the sir to leave and allow me to finish... yeah, right. I gave him his fees and called Mike for a refund, who apolgotically offered to send over someone else. I said, "No thanks"
IN A NUTSHELL this sly, devious south bay operation is a risk if anything else. Call em over to 'fix your leaky faucet' but instead have them mow your lawn i guess. Past that, Mike Diamond = USELESS.
I've been coming to the Village Pet Clinic ever since i can remember for the care of my Golden Lab. Presently he's experiencing the early stags of a Stomach Cancer, but The Village Pet Clinic is doing everything they can to extend his life for as long as possible.
The staff is very caring and also offer a day care service and, if available, a vacationing 'hibernation' service. This allows for one to drop off their dog for an extended period of time provided the owners find themselves on vacation.
I had been searching for a bank to send money to my friends in india for a long time and finally came here. Western Union wasn't at all fast enough, and neither are these guys.
It took ~4-5 days to do a money transfer to Bombay. Instead i think i wil do PayPal. The staff is very unhelpful and expect you to know before hand what you want.
It is also quite a drive from my residence. Their hours are equally terrible.
Great dry-cleaning service. Very innovative market strategy. The staff speaks English and is very helpful. Clean location with guaranteed results. Coffee and Candy while you wait. Onsite tailor is a master at his craft, i stopped paying attention to the sizes of my garments and instead just bring them to my buddy here at Debonair.
I LOVED going to Parras! Academically the teachers were great and the selection of classes were brilliant. Technologically Parras is very much superior to the neighboring Adams middle school. With a campus wide student run news program, techers could switch their tv's on to channel XX ( its been a while so i don't recall exactly) and view student presidents announcing the weekly activities every monday morning.
Moreover, the location makes socializing a breeze. Nearby is the Redondo Pier and Rivalution, an Internet Cafe.
Back in my High School years at Redondo I came to elco every summer or so to take classes just for the sake of taking classes, and the professors were great! Now, at UCLA, i really am thankful i did. A majority of my courses involved social sciences, and i can tell you first hand that the professors are well experienced in the field with a passion to teach.
Although the campus is a bit 'ghetto' as others have said, its easy to get past. The demographics are a bit suburban and a major annoyance is the air: everybody smokes!
I was in a hurry to get my car washed, and i guess thats what i got. My car WASHED. Not vaccumed. Just washed. And its not even like you just drive through a big building with water spraying everywhere, no. They hand wash the car. So why not vaccum?
In any case, they did a great job on the exterior.
I LOVE coming to Aquatic Fantasy. If not to buy fish, then simply to poke the tanks and gaze at the incredible selection of exotic fishies throughout the store. Also cool is the additon of turtles and reptiles!
For the rarity of these creatures the price is reasonable. If your'e a frequent customer they do have incentive programs and a sort of 'club card.' Don't waste your time at the chain stores.
