Arjay knows whats goin on in the realms of Mobile Phones, lets put it that way.
Specializing in GSM communciations, the selection is unfathomable. Especially appetizing are his imports from China and Korea. Don't be fooled by the fakes, Arjay is genuine. The staff knows exactly how to translate their technical jargon into more digestible commonspeak, making even the most intricate of topics easily understandable.
Pricewise, they're just about the same as any other mom and pop cell shack.
I've said it once and i'll say it again. You get what you pay for. At Groundworks, you don't get much. I set up an appointment with them, lets say, a week ago and they still haven't shown up! (In reality, this happened 2 months ago). They called me 3 weeks later apologizing and hoping to come by that same day for an evaluation. HELLO. I'm not the type to wait 3 weeks with a front yard in utter ruins.
The location seemed promising, as they showed me professinoaly a portfolio of past work which indeed looked atleast partway acceptable, nothing extraordinary. Don't waste your time for a delayed response. Pay a few bucks more and go somewhere else.
Often times i sit back and just stare at the walls, but the problem with that is walls get boring... and fast!
Thats where Supreme Paint comes in. Every so often I always find myself loitering amongst others like myself at Supreme Paint with nothing better to do than to paint their walls!
The selection is second to none, with brands most people have never heard of. Oh, and of course, all the ones they have. Also cool is the fact that the people know what they're talking about! Don't waste your time and money at The Home Depot, where the staff is far less helpful and knowledble .
Don't get me wrong, art is art. But some art is just plain UGLY. So goes the story at the Museum of contemporary Art, or MOCA as its come to be known among youthful Urbanites of the Suburbs of LA.
Certainly, being an art-inspired individual whose work relies on never before seen creativity, coming here was an obligation. However, if you have a choice, don't even bother approaching MOCA.
ON OCASSION there are some exhibits that one may find marginally interesting, such as the Andy Warhol through the Ages exhibit featured here a few years back.
The staff knows what they are talking about, so at least in that sense one can hold a somewhat intelligent conversation.
The California Science Center is essentially the GREATEST hot spot in the SoCal to have a great time while at the same time learning quite a bit. The Science Center itself is exceptionally enthralling in how fun it makes learning otherwise drab subjects.
Also, lets not forget the Imax Theatre! The shear experience of seeing an a video of that magnitude ITSELF makes coming a worthwhile experience, but why not add to that the fact that you're watching video FILMED for the big screen, as opposed to going to everyday theatres that simply blow up a low resolution set of film.
Either way, you can't stay in the SoCal without coming at least once.
Dollar for Dollar, this is THE place to go for all those looking for an overall good time. Mini-Golf? They've got it. Go-Karts? That too. Arcade? Mrmhm... Food? Naturally!
I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Malibu Castle for their creative, magical atmosphere inside and out. The campus MAY seem kiddish, but its fun for grown ups and children alike. Staff is very children friendly as well. Enjoy!
DO NOT go to Sea Aire Golf Course, no matter HOW desperate you are. First of all, the staff hardly even knows the game of golf themselves! You get what you pay for, and at Sea Aire, thats next to nothing!
Last I went, this past summer, all they had were ~4 Golf Carts, many of them with muddy seats and half inflated tires.
Do yourself a favor and make the longer drive to The Lakes at Rolling Hills.
Outgoing staff and brilliant collection of stylists make this not TOO expensive salon well worth it. I've been seeing the same stylist, Trans, for ages now. Always hes knows exactly how i want my hair cut and is very consistent in doing so.
Be sure to make an appointment before you go tho, because otherwise expect a wait. They also sell a collection of hair care products ranging from American Crew to Paul Mitchell, and everything in between. Enjoy!
Absolutely unbelievable creative insight within Lily Pad Floral. The staff is second to none as far as coming up with new ideas is concerned. I would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Lily, the only gripe being the price, and boy is that out of this world.
If you're in the need for some amazing work and money isn't an issue, Lily is the one and only place you'll have to go to. They will plan out the logistics of an event from top to bottom.
OMG I went in with the expectation to spend hundreds on shirts and clothes, and came out only 30 bucks short! Unbelievable deals, awesome find! The quality is second to none, dare I compare to Banana Republic? Yes, i think i shall. In any case, enjoy it. Unfortunately we don't have one down in Los Angeles, or else my closet would be full by now.
