Lots of fun for everyone. Really neat engenierriong marvel. Definatly go up that's the thrill the movie is alright as well. allow three hours but that is about it.
Harold Warp Pioneer Village
This is a great place to visit and see unique machinery. Could easily be spread over two days if they had decent hotels but the whole museum is poorly maintained nad becoming run down.,
Pioneer Village Motel
I woujld stay here again only because I have other choice. There is nothing else in menden. Hotel is run down, unbelievably tacky. There is so food after 8pm after before 10am.
Mount Rushmore National Memorial
Worth the trip but there is not all that much do at the memorial. It is a half day trip but worth it for the unforgetable quality. To keep children occupied check out thr junior ranger badge program.
Mall Of America
This is a Fun long lunch stop on your way to Duluth. Their is an amusment park and unique restaurants like rainforest cafe. Unless you interested in shopping at store like you have at home that is about all their is. Check out lego land in the amumet park.
Omnimax Theater
Great museumj but expect a crowd. Wondeful for children because everything is hands on but some of the exhibits will stretch you a bit. There is an exhibit in a stair well of sliced human bodies in frames.
Field Museum
Very cool fossils and exciting traveling exhibits. We went on free day but the crown was still manageble. Great empoyess make the fossils doulbling interesting. Perhaps not a full day trip though.
John G. Shedd Aquarium
YOu have to try this. With or without children it simply can't be beat! I have never seen such entusiasm amounst empoloyees! Visiting Shedd's is like your own private adventure tour. Pay the extra for the sharks defintateyl spnd the day!
Lincoln Park Zoo
If you find yourself in Chicago for the day with children. Check this place out it is free! We especially enjoyed the farm area. The zoo is a bit outdated but does a really goo job consiering it is afterall free. We were impressed.
Lazy Daze Coffee House
Great quite place to go for coffee. very comfortable and intimate without the feel of large chain. No one will ever rush you and the staff is friendly.
