Riverside/Galleria At Tyler
The Galleria Tyler Mall, located in Riverside, California off the 91 fwy. at the Tyler exit, is one of the best shopping malls around. Although Victoria Gardens, located in Ontario, California, has slowly been taking customers away from Tyler since its grand opening nearly two years ago, the Tyler Galleria is still the place to shop in Riverside. With its numerous big department stores (Macy's, Nordstrom, JC Penny) and countless other smaller stores, it is easy to see that this is where it's at. From athletic clothing to formal wear, to jewelry and candy, to swords and a large food court, you'll find it all at the Tyler Galleria.

CONS: Usually very crowded
Malibu Beach Inn
Upon eating dinner at the Malibu Beach Inn (in Malibu, California located on the Pacific Coast Hwy just across from the pier) a few weeks ago, I feel it is my duty to warn the world of this completely unsatisfactory dining facility. 1) It smells like a sewer line broke at the city dump. 2) Outdoor seating is better at Burger King. 3) All two items on the menu sounded sketchy. 4) I thought the mountain cliff was going to fall down on me at any moment. 5) I ordered a Tuna Melt...not two pieces of moldy bread smothered in grease and spoiled cheese. 6) Anyone ever heard of customer service before?...Well they must have missed the memo. That is all.

Pepperdine University

Woodcrest Christian School System
The Woodcrest Christian School System, located in the Woodcrest part of Riverside, California, has one of the best reputations around as far as quality of both education and people. With its relatively small student body population (under 400 high school and around 200 middle school), this facility offers an outstanding learning environment, unmatched by any other public or private schools around. The teachers here are more than qualified in their areas of teaching, and every one of them shares a passion for teaching that so many schools are in need of. Tuition is not cheep (though it won't break you), but the level of education and the life changing experiences your son or daughter will receive from here are worth every penny of it.

CONS: Not many. No Football team or water polo. That's about it.

If you cherish your child's education and live in the greater Riverside County area you will be sure to enroll your son or daughter at Riverside Christian Day School. This elementary school (K-6) offers one of the highest levels of elementary learning, shown through it small class size, highly educated and equipped teachers, and state of the art facilities. Students here are schooled in all the normal subjects (math, English, history, science, etc.) as well as computer skills, music and singing, physical education, acting, and community service. As a former student of this distinguished school system I can attest that this learning institution shines as a light and an example of what real learning is all about.
