Sure, Daniel Smith has great products, but how bout the demos? they are fabulous! talented artists demonstrate (FOR FREE!) how to make works of art. Oftentimes, you will be given a small amount of supplies to make something at the same time as the presentor!
I called Countryside Floral and Garden 2 weeks ahead and ordered a 17 stem, pink rose bouquet for a friend's 17th birthday. It ended up gorgeous, and the ladies at the shop even used a lovely tissue to wrap the blossoms instead of tacky cellophane. they were very helpful, i would reccomend!
If you think outside the box when going to this place, you may be plesantly surprised! just remember that art is not just still lifes and carved figureheads. I really liked the artwork that was displayed around the room, and the people there were very helpful.
I really like this salon, because despite thier semi-pricey prices, they do a GREAT job. A lady there even game me some product samples to syle my new 'do. The lady who cut my hair, Lori, was super nice and pleasantly talkative.
I really like this thrift store, because if you look hard enough, you can find some really nice stuff! Of course, like in any other thrift store, there are "old lady" clothes and outdated clothes, but there are also lots of name-brand clothes: Abercrombie, American Eagle, Hollister, etc. You should definitely go on Wednesday or Saturdsy, because those are 30% off days.
There are a lot of interesting beads here, but the store is very small. They have a catalog with classes that you can take listed, but they are quite expensive. I took a "Garden Bracelet" making class about 2 years ago, and i think it was about $65 dollars including supplies
I am an avid beader, so when i enteres Shipwreck Beads for the first time, i was overjoyed! For once, a store had literally EVERYTHING i was looking for! A friendly staff member helped me to find just the size and color pearls i wanted, and the various charms (flower pot, garden trowel, rose, glove, and sunshine) that i needed. It is a truly one-stop shop for all your beading needs!
I went to this nail salon about 6 months ago when my friend reccomended it to me. When i went there, the place was very busy, so i'd reccommend getting a reservation or going there just as the store opens. Queen Nails has a great selection of polish colors. i was very impressed with the staff and my shocking pink toenails!
This halloween I dressed up as a fairy, and wanted a wig to go with my costume. I wanted a long, lavendar and sparkly wig, and after calling around, i found that Lee's Wigs had what i needed. the people there were very helpful and friendly
Like to read? got a lot of books lying around that you are through with? I know I do, and i take my books here to exchange. I cannot remember the exact rate, but you can trade about 3 of your old books and a tiny amount of cash to get a book from thier large stock! great deal for readers!
