Taking the kids to Anderson Farms is a must do fall event! The barrel-train rides for the kids are just hilarious. And a good way to tire yourself out is on the Hamster Wheel!
But the highlight of a visit here in the fall is the tractor ride out to the Pumpkin Patch to pick your own Pumpkin. They have pumpkins of every shape and size and even WHITE ONES!!!!
Glacier Peak is a great school with teachers who really do care! Communication from the school and teachers is always timely and informative.
And the PTA group puts on some great family events such as Trick Or Trunk, where not only is there trick or treating for the kids, but usually a donation for a charity is being taken also.
Great school in a great school district.
We recently moved from CO to AZ and needed to find a rental house. We stopped in the Golba office and from that moment on felt as if we were putting them out by asking them to do their job in helping us.
My only recommendation would be to call and set up an appointment first, although their website said it was unneccessary.
We went to this church for numerous Christmas services.
The family/childrens service cannot be beat. The pastor brings all the children up in a circle and reads them a story relevant to Christmas. And there is plenty of singing with all the children ringing bells.
Last Christmas we even took all the kids down to the basement for a Pinata party after the service.
Fat City has it all! Bowling, Skating, Golfing and just plain old good fun.
The bowling was great with the glow in the dark balls! It was the first time our kids had been bowling ever and now they are hooked and ask to go back time and time again.
FlatIron Mall has so many stores you are bound to find whatever you are looking for.
And on nice days it is so nice to sit outside and let the little ones play in the sand box. Or on not so nice days, the dinosaurs soft scape play center is nice too.
The Food Court is outstanding also, with PLENTY of seating!
The Butterfly Pavilion is somewhere we took everyone who came to visit.
They have an amazing variety of butterflies and moths. And in the hands on area you can touch a starfish and stingray. And during select times you can let Rosie the Tarantula climb on your hands.
While walking through the actual pavilion where the butterflies are, be sure to have your camera ready and don't be surprised if a butterfly lands on your head, it happened to me!
Also, they release newly hatched butterflies 2x a day, while doing that the handler tells what kind of butterfly it is and a little about them. It was a wonderful experience
The Molly Brown house is fun to see for those into History.
I was lucky enough to have a tour and be served tea and scones for a private function, and it was wonderful hearing the stories of Molly Brown and seeing her things.
If you can schedule a tea, I would do it! So much to learn!!!
The best Rec Center in the area! The pools alone make it great! The water slides are a blast for young and old. And then the water playground for the younger kids make it so much fun for families with kids of differing ages.
This is our family's favorite park in the area! So much to do here for the kids and the walking/biking/skating path around the lake is great for exercise.
We've rented the paddleboats a time or 2 and ALWAYS had a blast.
Don't forget some stale breadcrumbs for the ducks and geese!
