Ron Lee is the best hair stylist I've ever seen. Every time I see him, my hair cut is perfection. I'm never even slightly disappointed. Of course, for a world-class hair cut, comes a significant price tag. But Ron is worth every single penny. Plus, he's a blast to chat with (he's a competitive fisher and everything!).
PROS: great hair cut, great stylist
CONS: a bit pricey, but worth it
if you've ever gone to a chiropractor, you know: some of them work and some of them don't. and then there's carol. Carol is the most amazing chiropractor ever. She fixes me right up every time I see her. She's SO good that i drive down from San Francisco (about an hour drive) just to have a session with her. And she's a blast to chat with.
PROS: great person, great conversation, great chiropractor
Rainbow Grocery is wonderful. They have so many organic products and they don't carry any meat products, which is helpful to vegetarians. They also have a great selection of vitamins and alternative medicines, and their staff is very knowledgable about those items. They're also not snooty or snobby like some of those other organic grocers.
PROS: great products, socially conscious
CONS: sometimes there's a wait for parking
The Good Life Grocery has a great selection of organic produce and other products. Their products are also very reasonably priced for a local, small grocer. They're also conveniently located (there's always parking nearby), and they sell muni passes.
PROS: good selection for groceries
i love this place. it's trendy and the mani-pedis are great! the staff is friendly and helpful, and there's always a ton of parking around. the only downer is that it is a bit pricey, but it's worth every penny!
PROS: great mani pedis!
this place has healthful burritos and they're tasty too. they also have great vegetarian options, like the thai tofu burrito, which is something i've never had anywhere else. even their normal burritos (standard ones) are great. it's clean and bright and centrally located.
PROS: great food, reasonably priced, friendly staff
CONS: hard to find parking
I love this restaurant. It's a cute little place with great food. I could eat their crepes are frites every day! And their desserts are excellent as well. I especially enjoy their brunches on Sunday.
PROS: Great food, lots of parking, reasonably priced
I have to say, I really enjoyed my meal here. But it was only a couple of months ago, and I can't even remember what I had. I think it was pretty unremarkable for the price. There are, in my opinion, better vegetarian restaurants in the city.
PROS: Good food
Every time someone recommends going to Herbivore, I get excited because the food always sounds good on the menu. But it's always just OK. I've had several different meals there, and they've always left something to be desired. Needless to say, I no longer go there anymore. It's a good place to try, but not good enough to be one of my regular restaurants.
PROS: vegan choices
CONS: food is only OK
of all the banana republic stores, this one has the best selection. and it's actually better to shop in this store than online because the prices are often cheaper (on clearance items) than they are on the website. they also have a great petite section, the biggest selection of any BR store i've ever seen.
PROS: great selection, big store
CONS: must pay for parking
