I have a hard time finding really comfortable shoes in the width I need. They have a large selection of good shoes in contemporary styles in the width I need. They do run on the expensive side, but the shoes will last a long time if taken care of. They also have very good insoles , also pricey, but will last a year. If you're in the lookout for comfortable shoes, take the time to step into this shoe store.
I was looking for a place in town to get my daughter's ears pierced. She was turning 7 years old, and had decided that was what she really wanted for her birthday. We called around and this was the only place in town that was able to pierce two ears at the same time. They were very caring and gentle with her, and had a good selection of earrings to choose from. I would use them again!
This store has a great variety of beads. They are also great about helping to put a project together. They have many samples in the store that you can purchase the beads and then copy the project. The beads have a range of prices, so you can make your project as fancy or simple as you want. The beads they have on strands are very reasonable. I was able to complete several projects by purchasing the strands of beads and extra findings. They were much less expensive had I purchased the items assembled in a retail store.
We had aleady killed one apple tree, and didn't want that to happen again. We went to Port Orchard Nursery, and are so glad we did. We were looking for another apple tree, and we wanted one that would be good for eating as well as applesauce. We were recommended a summertime red apple, and they were able to find a two year old tree for us, so we actually had three apples this year!! The apples were sweet and crunchy., exactly what we asked for.
The nursery has more than trees, and is full of greenhouses with every flower that grows in this region. They also had a wide variety of shrubs and flowering plants. Their prices are competitive to the big box stores also, very worth the advice and knowledge they provide.
PROS: Very knowledgeable, and helpful.
This is a good preschool with a basis in christian values. The children are kept busy with activities and learning combined into fun. The school also schedule field trips for the children to go on. The prices are also very competitive to others in the area, however, considering the what they offer, it is a great value.
The park is located right in the center of Forks, with the grocery store directly across the street. The park has pay stall showers for a very reasonable price and they are very clean. There are no other amenities like trees or walking trails. It really is just for overnight stays or a spot to park your RV for other travels. Luckily, we were doing just that. If you bring kids with you, make sure you bring stuff for them to do.
PROS: Centrally located
CONS: Not a place to go camping and hang out at the campsite.
Even though this store is small, they have definately taken advantage of all their space. They mostly have paperbacks, and have custom shelves to fit them. Their prices are reasonable, and that makes this place a must for anyone wanting to feed their reading habit. I only gave them 3 stars as they need to clean up the store a bit, and also work on the lighting.
We like to check used book stores for copies of a book we want to read to save on costs, but also saves on natural resources. This bookstore is in an old home, and its fun to explore each room and find new treasures. They have shelves and shelves of good used books at very reasonable prices. They also have a good buy-back policy and that helps save on costs as well.
PROS: Love the buy-back policy to help feed my book habit.
The premise of the Game Farm sounds good. You drive through in your own vehicle, and feed and look at different animals throughout. You can bring your own bread, or they have bread for purchase there. The animals appeared well cared for, but when it came time to see the brown bears in their cages, it became clear this was not a first rate operation. The bears were kept in an area with no grass, just dirt yard areas, and were so used to begging for bread it was sad to watch. The fences were old, rusty, and falling apart. The bears were kept in by electric fence. When we drove past the African lions and tigers, we were surprised to see them in such a small area. They were separated from each other, and had an area no bigger than a one car garage. It did not appear they had any means of physical exercise.
CONS: It didn't appear the facilty was kept up to a good standard for the animals
There is old, and then there is letting a place get old. They have let this place get old. I was very disappointed with how dingy the rink was. The rink doesn't seem to have had any improvements since it was originally built. I didn't feel clean when I left the building. The roller surface was kept up, and was in fair condition. The food service available was also very poor and expensive.
