We were amazed at how much we learned by coming to clear creek nursery about our pond. The staff was able to help us select plants that would fit our level of expertise (none). We are very satisfied with our purchases, they have lived through the last 3 years of our lack of care. The nursery is also a place to just walk around at the beauty of thier nursery.
They had everything at this nursery. They had all the trees, bushes and shrubs that you could imagine, to go along with all the flowers. On top of that, there was a huge building that had home decorations you may want for your patio and garden area. The gift giving possibilities were endless. I actually went here to look at fish, which after awhile, I finally got to that part of the nursery. It is definately a must for any gardener.
PROS: They had everything you could possibly need for garden or patio.
This resort is amongst the trees and hills of Gig Harbor. It has a very nice atmosphere. The cost is very reasonable for monthly rates. The resort has laundry facilities for your use on a first-come first-serve basis. It was usually hard to do laundry on the weekend. It is in an easy to access area, and is close to shops and restaurants.
I love bringing my kids to this library. They have a wonderful children's section with their own reading couch and chairs. It's a very comfortable learning environment. I also love the computer access available at the library. I have used this when my own was down, and has saved many a day. I also really love the website features for the library. If you need a particular book, but it's at a different branch, you can request it through the website and when it arrives at your branch, you receive an email to come and pick it up. Even though our library may look tiny, we have access to many more books than it holds.
PROS: The library website to request a book is so easy to use.
This is a wonderful facility to have a baby. The facilty is not very old, and has nice amenities in the room. The staff made the whole experience a wonderful one. They were all so caring and kind. Since I was in the hospital a few days after having a cesarean, one of the nice features was that we could order up from the Chipmunk Cafe for the whole family and then just pay them for the extras when the food arrived. The Cafe supplies the food for the patients as well. It made it easier for everyone to stay healthy and eating well in such an exciting time.
PROS: A very well planned facilty for having a baby!
Our son totally ruined his tire by riding the brake down the driveway, and after searching other usual places we went to Beamers Bikes. Well, within a couple of days they had a replacement tire at a very reasonable cost for us. We will definately shop here again.
We love the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium!! Its not a huge zoo, but the kids are able to track the animals, and even remember their names from our many visits. It's also good to remember that the mission of this zoo is to only focus on animals found on the Pacific Rim. You're not going to find any african animals at this zoo (ie: giraffes) They added an amphitheater last year, and it has a very good animal show. The polar bears are our favorite animals. They always seem to be playing, and bouncing around in the water when we are there. That exhibit makes you really understand how very massive and strong polar bears can be. Also, don't forget the annual Zoo Lights. They do this exhibit every December, and it gets better every year. They transform the zoo with christmas lights, and they have carols playing while you walk around the zoo and see all the lights. If you love christmas lights, this is for you.
PROS: A small zoo that allows for a very personal experience.
We enjoy going to the Seattle Aquarium a lot. They have great hands on exhibits that my kids love to explore, with starfish, sea anenomes and other harmless creatures. It's a great learning experience for them. The kids also love all the close up displays and aquariums, especially the jellyfish ring that you can walk through. They are able to get up close with so many different sea creatures, and lets them see how different they are in person than on television or in a book.
PROS: Great hands on exhibits
I had a couple of pieces of clothing to be cleaned and took them into this store. I was surprised at how much they charged to get them cleaned. I thought the prices were very high.
I received a gift certificate for this spa, and new exactly what I wanted - a pedicure! I was so excited, because I had never had one, and that's what the purchaser got the certificate for. Guess what they don't have? That's right, pedicures....So, I scheduled a massage and a foot scrub. The massage was an hour long and was wonderful.
The foot scrub was less than wonderful. I could do a better job myself at my home. The attendant slapped some scrub on my feet, swished it around, and then put my feet in a bubble foot bath for a couple of minutes. The entire foot scrub was about 5 minutes, but cost half as much as an hour massage. When the receptionist asked about how I enjoyed the foot scrub, I told her I thought it was a lot of money for so little attention, and she apologized for my being unsatisfied, but that was all I received, an apology. I would not go back to this establishment because of that. I should have been made satisfied immediately.
