The owner of the store has always been there when I've patronized the store. She greets everyone with a big smile, and kind words. This bookstore has a good selection of christian books, fiction and nonfiction. There is also a selection of christian gift items. They have food and drink available to purchase, and a sitting area to use while you read your new selection. The sitting area can also be used for prayer groups, so long as it's been approved by the store first.
The restaurant has a great location along the waterfront. That makes it a nice place to be. Unfortunately, I was just not impressed with the food. The food did not have anything outstanding about it. It could have been served anywhere. The service staff was friendly, and attentive.
Our dog was very ill, and we took her to the female veterinarian at this office. Unfortunately, nothing could be done for our beloved pet, and we had to put her to sleep. It was very sad for all of us. The veterinarian and office staff were so very kind to us. They were very compassionate knowing what we were doing was very difficult for us.
There location is easy to find, and they have a lot of parking, and walking spots for the animals to do their business. The lobby has a lot of room if you need to keep animals separated.
This office is owned by one dentist, and he actually only works in the office a few days every month, as he lives in Utah. He hires the dentists in the office for the other work.
I had a bad experience at this dental office. When I made my appointment I specifically asked for an appointment with the dentist listed in his yellow page ad. It wasn't until I went in for my appointment was I told I would not be actually seeing that dentist, because I wasn't there on one of those "few days in the month" I went forward with the appointment anyway. During my exam, the dentist noted I needed a filling. They said they could do it that day. I agreed only on the condition I leave by a certain time due to babysitting circumstances. The dentist said it could be done. I did not get out of the office until 1 hour past my deadline. There was nothing I could do. The dentist had prepped me, started the work, and then kept bouncing in and out doing other exams on other patients. Needless to say I will not go back.
A good place to get a fresh hot meal. As the name of the restaurant says, it's a buffet, but don't let that fool you. The entrees are cooked in smallish portions, and refilled frequently. They have a good variety of hot chinese favorites, and sometimes change out the selections. They also have a cold food area with fresh fruit and cottage cheese as an example. The dessert selections are tasty, with the soft ice cream server being our family favorite.
PROS: Good for lunch and dinner
This is a good place to eat. The chicken teriyaki is the main thing we order here and it always tastes very good. We also enjoy the vegetable chicken teriyaki, and the vegetables are cooked just perfect. Of course the rice that comes with the dishes is perfectly sticky, just the way we like it.
We had been looking for 3 years to find a church home, and we finally found it with Christ the Rock. They have many programs to support your walk in faith. They have 3 services on the weekend to work around your schedule. Very nice if you were like my friend who worked every Sunday, and she could go on Saturday. They offer Wednesday AWANA programs for the children. There is also a homeschool co-op to support the large amount of members who homeschool. Most importantly, Pastor Kennedy has an amazing service each and every week. We are very blessed to find such a great place for worship.
PROS: A great place for worship
This is just a really great place to eat. The last time I ate there the sandwich I had was so flavorful, and all the ingrediants very fresh. This is more than just a deli though. They have wonderful lunch specials, and dinners too. If you have not tried this gem in our community, run, don't walk and try it out.
PROS: Good, fresh, flavorful food.
The first time I used a stylist at this salon I had a picture of myself, with the haircut I wanted, but the haircut didn't turn out like the picture at all. I thought that sometimes it takes a cut or two for a stylist to understand your hair so I didn't want to judge too harshly. After the third cut, and the second explanation of what was wrong with the last cut, I decided this salon wasn't worth going back to. I also had a different stylist than the first cut my hair a fourth time, to no avail. I also took my son and they cut his hair way shorter than I had asked.
CONS: Just not able to get the haircut I asked for.
I had a difficult time finding a decent place to get my hair cut when I moved here, until I found this place. The surroundings are not the Ritz Carlton, but you will definately be pleased with your hair. It is in a central location with ample parking. I take my children there and the stylist always pays special attention to make it a fun experience for them. I have also convinced my husband to use their services also.
PROS: Hair cuts for the entire family.
