I needed a textbook for one of my college class and didn't want to pay the college book store for it, so I went over to Page One. A really nice staff memeber found the book I was looking for, and even walked me over to where it was and pulled it out and handed it to me! It was also on sale so I even saved money. I love this book store. They have TONS of books, gifts, and magazines. They even have a cafe so you can get a nice cup of coffee while you sit there and read. They also have a nice selection of local free magnazines as you walk out the door.
Route 66 is my favorite casino in/around abq. All slot machines print tickets so you do not have to mess around with dirty money. They have all of the table games, bingo, keno, and an awesome place to see concerts. The restaurants are wonderful. If you are apart of the players club you can earn points for free food, items, and money back. They usually have some sorta of big drawing that you can enter in. You get your own drinks, which is nice cause you don't have to worry about tipping someone every time you want a drink. Looking for a good time, and want to gamble? Hit up Rt. 66 casino for sure!
Started my college experience here, earning a AA in pre-managment. TVI is so supportive in everything that you do. Class sizes are small, and the teachers want to be there! Tuition prices are really cheap for a college. I always felt safe on campus, where they have 3 pretty big campus located around town. If you are starting out in college, TVI is the best place to get your feet grounded and either decide what you want to do with your life, learn a new skill, or get your credits and move on to a 4 year University.
Luv N Care is a place where I feel comfortable leaving my cat. It is the first and only kennal that I have seen that has outdoor cat runs! Each cat has its own inside area and a little "doggy dog" that leads outside to an area with tree stump (they can claw it up if they want). So nice knowing my cat is not going to be stuck in a small cage all day. The use heat when its cold. They board cats and dogs both. They also offer full service grooming facilities. I believe the person who owns the place lives onside, so your pet will always be watched. The cost is good and worth it!
Nice place to go and hang out with friends, or a place to take the kids. They offer lockers so you can lock your things away while you are out on the floor. You can have parties there, and although I have never had one there, they seem to be a lot of fun. (I believe they give you the food from the snack bar). The prices are good, the music is upbeat, and if you go at night they play games where you can win prizes. I would vote it the best roller skating place in abq, however I know of no others so that might be cheating. ;)
I had a birthday party at Hinkle Family Fun Center, and it was fun for everyone. They give you enough space to have your party, and each guest is provide with tokens, food, and cake! You can spend hours there playing the many different types of games they have. The prizes to exchange for tickets are pretty good. Putt-putt is always fun, they have a nice course. The go carts and bumper boats are a lot of fun. When I go, I usually by the package that allows me to ride as many rides as I want for a certain amount of time. Look for money saving deals, even something as small as a few free tokens can add up to savings at this place.
Sandia Casino is located near Albuquerque so it's location makes it perfect for a quick trip to see if you will get lucky. It is really well decorated, with a nice entry way and high ceilings. They have all kinds of slot machines, including ones that print tickets so you don't have to touch dirty money, however not all are like that so watch out. They offer all the table games, bingo, and keno. My favorite place to play is the NON-SMOKING room! The peak rewards program is wonderful as each week you will get a free amount of money that you can download to a machine and play on. The buffet is awesome, and well worth it! I haven't hit it big, but at least I have fun while playing.
This is very good book store, with loads of books in stock. The environment is very welcoming. The cafe is very nice, prices are average. They usually have a sell of some sort going on, so I stop in and see what books I can get at a discount. I saw a guy standing on the coner with a sign that said up to 60% off due to them closing. It would be well worth it to run over there and see what books you can get at a good price.
They did an excellent job on my wedding photographs. They were professional and flexible throughout the day. It was so much easier to relax, smile, and have fun knowing that it would all be captured and was something I didnt have to worry about. The Photographs turned out beautiful because they took the time to get to know me. They also do school, work, family and bar/bat mitzvahs photos.
I was introduced by a friend and have been addicted ever since. The atmosphere is unlike anything in Albuquerque. Reservations are a must, however when you get there you will get to sit in your own private little area. The food is unbelievable! You will get 3 different teas, as well as a 3 tier tray filled with finger foods, scones, and desserts. I have been to many parties here, as they have a large room that can sit a larger group. Dont bother showing up much before your reservation time as they will not sit you until that time. However they do have a wonderful gift shop to look around, either before or after. I have had to cut my visits down as prices have gone up.
