We spend at least one day a week in Scottsdale going through all the fancy stores. Adelante is one of my favorites. The store is beautifully laid out and the art work is gorgeous. Just don't look at the price tags. You'll have a heart attack.
Very nice but small appliance store with most major brand names. They have signs up that say they will beat anyones prices. The sales staff were very polite and helpful, but they were so busy that it was a long time before we got any help. They need about a dozen more people working there and the selection needs to be better, but it's nice to know a small store can actually compete against stores like Sears and Home depot.
My daughter and I decided to try this. You go in and pick out a piece of pottery you like and then you paint it yourself. They then fire it for you and you have a nice piece that you basically made yourself. I thought it was way to expensive and mine did not turn out very well. But it was different and it was fun. So I think it's worth doing once just to try
This is an indoor cart tracks with 2 different tracks. I took my 2 grandsons who were visiting here for a day and it cost me $150 for them to ride all day long. Pack a picnic and enjoy. They had a riot. They have adult and children go carts so you can take an 8 or 9 year old.
Beautiful desert plants, this place is the very best when the cactus are in bloom and they all look so gorgeous. They have a small museum there also that explains desert life and animals. I can spend hours wandering around enjoying the beauty of what is usually a very ugly plant. Beautifully laid out. A must for out of town visitors and residents alike.
This is not my usual salon but the young lady who fixed my hair was very personable and nice to me. My hair didn't turn out the way I expected, but it did look nice. They have their own ideas of what they should do. I don't think they are very respectful of older peoples wishes, but they did a good job.
For true old world charm at reasonable prices, try Arte. They carry a very large selection of furniture from Mexico, statues, mirrors, and some southwestern items. They will wheel and deal and you will not only find the item you want but have some fun negotiating a fair price.
This is not a goodwill store. These are very nice used clothes especially for children that are in excellent shape. You will pay more than most thrift stores, but a lot less than a department store. I thought we were in a new clothing store at first, it is laid out like that. I did not find one piece of clothing missing a button or with a stain on it. They also had some grown up clothes.
Sprouts is an upperscale grocery store with a lot of produce and vitamins. The prices are a little high and I really don't know much about organic produce, but the store is laid out so nice and it is very clean. If you are into organics, this would be the place to go.
Instead of having a lot of pots with plants sitting around, Berridge has a beautiful park setting and you can wander around for hours and not feel like you are in a gardening store. They have a very nice selection of plants and they hold classes. The gifts in the store are also very unusual and nice. The price of gardening supplies was a little high.
