Youngs Dry Cleaner & Laundry
This is one of the best dry cleaners I have been too. I brought my suit to them in the morning and they had it ready for the me the same day. Usually though, I drop my clothes off after work and they have it washed and pressed by the following day when I get off from work. The staff is very kind and friendly. If you go there long enough it's likely that they will even know your name. I do wish they had more machines available. It gets crowded sometimes. Parking is not too hard to find.
Off The Hook Tattoos
Getting a tattoo was rather painful, but with such an animated tattoo artist, time really seemed to fly by. The artist is indeed talented because the character that I wanted was drawn near picture perfect on my arm. Pricing was also fair. Parking was somewhat of a hassle though, so it may be wiser to take the metro up rather than to drive.
Tree Top Kids
This store is basically just a toy store. However, they are not huge like Toys R Us and KB Toys. They do still have a wide selection of toys available though. They even have some of the more rare and classic toys that the big toy stores don't have. An example is a the potato gun, something a little boy can't grow up without. There is a lot of parking in the shopping center and there are even some stores nearby for the adults while the children peruse the toy store.
Toy Store
This is not actually a toy store. It is a store that sells exotic and oftentimes pricey cars. The staff is helpful even if you are not looking to buy. They are there at your disposal, to answer your questions and to even let you test the vehicle. The prices are pretty steep but the cars are kept in great condition. This includes both the exterior, interior and engine.
Car Trendz
This store has everything from headlights and housing to XMS sattelite and DVD head units. They have a wide variety of items that are mainly for cosmetic effects on your vehicle. Their product pricing is fair, though it is very likely that you can get a better price online. If you are looking up to increase your horsepower or torque, this is probably not the store for you. But if you are looking for something to make your car look like a winner you can make this your one stop shop.
G & G Repair
I waited 3 weeks to get the lining of my car door replaced and to get some of the scratches filled up with touch up paint. The job didn't seem that difficult. Also, instead of getting the parts themselves, they sent me to pick up the parts, which was out of the ordinary and it should've been their responsibility. Regardless of all of this, the job was finished and it was a good job.
Omei Wushu Kung Fu And Tai Chi
At this Kung Fu School, they specialize in Wushu Kung Fu which is largely a forms martial art. Though they do practice some sparring, it is very low level. Even some of the higher ranked students don't spar very aggressively. The forms that you learn are very smooth and beautiful if performed correctly. The ages of the students range from elementary school students to adults. It is a great way to get in some exercise. The Tai Chi part is very rigorous. Though it seems like you don't do that much you get a pretty decent isometric workout. The pricing is moderate and the instructors are helpful.
Clarion Pointe Huntsville Research Park
This hotel is located only 15 minutes from the airport and about 15 minutes from downtown. The hotel has a great location. The day I arrived, I came a little before check-in time and they were unable to accomodate me. I had to wander around the city for a while because of that. The hotel itself is ok, but the rooms are located on the outside of the hotel, so you have to walk outside in order to get into your rooms. The next day however, there was a complimentary breakfast. The rooms were small, but the beds were comfortable. There was an outdoor pool and whirlpool as well as lots of parking.
Hampton Inn & Suites Charlottesville-At The University
The staff was more than helpful when it came to navigating the surrounding area. In addition, the location of the hotel is in a prime time spot, next to the UVA campus. The room was medium-sized and the beds were moderately comfortable. A big bonus was the complimentary breakfast that was served the next morning. In addition, there is a late check out which allowed us to stay until around 1PM. There is sufficient parking around the hotel although at times it seemed as though it would run out.
Mid Atlantic Golf
Mid-atlantic golf is like a hole-in-the-wall golf shop. They are in an obscure location and their store seems to be overcrowded with golf clubs and accessories. The one thing about this store that is better than the rest is their great pricing of products. I remember buying a set of clubs from there after searching everywhere else. They came up as having the best price. One problem is that they don't have anywhere to test out clubs. They do have a little putting area, but nowhere to test the irons or drivers. Other than the the people are great and the pricing is the best I've found in the area.
