Cake Palace has good cakes. They are not the best in the city though. Their prices are reasonable and their location is good. Sometimes their cakes are a little stale and not so tasty. They do have a strawberry cake that is worth every bite and every penny. I'd suggest this company if it were available during the peak seasons.
Their white almond cakes are absolutely the best I've ever had. They are clean and the staff is helpful. Their prices are a bit expensive, but well worth it. During Mardi Gras, don't expect to get a King Cake from here without ordering it prior to! Sometimes even that goes wrong. Also, the store in New Orleans is much fresher than the one in Baton Rouge.
Going to this barber shop was a good experience for me. The wait wasn't long and the prices were reasonable. The owner, Nissan, was very professional and required his stylists to be that way as well. Appointments are necessary and are honored. Rarely is the wait loner than 5-10 minutes. I was new to the town when I first starting going here and was happy someone suggested it.
I've used this place to get a mattress and other bedding materials. It was great everytime. The employees are knowledgable and friendly. The prices are comparable to the big chain bedding stores in the area, but it has a local business owner. I would go back here to get more of my bedding essentials anyday!
Have used this facility on 3 or 4 occasions. All visits were pleasant and bill was reasonable. Owner/manager was informative and friendly. Everytime I've left I feel like I get my money's worth of service and my car works properly. The only thing about this place are the hours of operation, seemingly short.
This place is good for the price. Their service is also okay. I don't remember waiting here either. They will vacuum the inside of your car and also wipe down the dash and steering wheel. The outside isn't as good as the inside. The windows are streaky and the tires aren't the cleanest, but it beats doing it yourself.
I suppose one of the side effects of having good service is that people return to give the facility more return business. Well, that is definitely the case here. The catch is that there is usually a longer than 10 minute wait at Benny's because their service is so good. It is difficult to complain about their effort in service, I suppose I'd suggest a few more hands.
We've used Darryl's on several occasions in the past. It was good for the price. But know that you get what you pay for. In many cases, the mechanics used much trial and error to determine if something was fixed or not. In addtion, it took too long in most instances for them to fix the car, but if you are short on money go here and negotiate the price.
Have used this service for 3-4 weeks and I've set this alarm off at least 5 times and never once have I gotten a call from them. That worries me. What if I had an emergency. So I called them and asked how long would the alarm have to go off for them to call and they told me they would have to get back to me. Nothing yet.
This is a sorry excuse for a professional business. Okay, I get it, it only cost s$1.25 - $2.00, but guess what , it's my $1.25 to $2.00, so give me good service! They NEVER get your clothing clean and often can't grant the requests that you have for removing spots and other services. Really they are a very basic service cleaner, basically no clean clothes.
