Most donut shops are very similar. Most of the donuts at Sunny donuts are just like every other donut shop. Their cream filled however, are excellent. We go out of our way to get those there. There prices are low, like most donut shops. The staff is friendly and there coffee is good.
Hash House A Gogo is amazing. It is always very busy, espically on weekends for breakfast. Their prices are very good. Their portions are huge! Their breakfast seems to draw the largest crowd but their dinners are excellent. One plate is enough to feed two people. They have a bar and a comfortable atmosphere. They do private parties as well.
I had my first cookie made by The Eccentric International Cheff at the Santee tree lighting where they donated tons of cookies for kids to decorate. After that we visited their shop and they have a good variety. The staff is very friendly and does good deals for special orders. They have cookies and pastries and some bread. There prices seemed about average.
I ordered my wedding invitations through The Paperdoll. They had a great selection of books to look through for ideas. The sales person had great ideas and helped narrow down the search The prices were reasonable and everything came back quickly. They store also has home decorations and some jewlry.
There is nothing like apple pie and there is nothing like appe pie from Julian Pie Company. It is perfect. It's at it's best warm. You can have it served with cinnamon ice cream. yummm. If you go to their shop you can buy pie by the slice or the whole pie. They also have other pastries and pie crust cookies, those are our favorite.
Extrodinary desserts is the greatest dessert place ever. The prices are high but it's worth it. They have cake by the slice or to take home, cookies, scones, brownies, cobblers etc. They also have great tea. You can sit with a pot of tea and some cake and be in heaven. They stay open late at night.
Italia really has ok pizza. They have really good cheese, but they don't use much sauce. Lately they have been stingy with the cheese and the crust has been on the burnt side. There pasta is mediocre. They do have a really good week day lunch special with soup, salad, pasta and pizza.
Grandstand has the greatest pizza. They use good cheese, not the cheap stuff, and their sauce is thick and full of flavor. It has a slight spice to it and it's not watery like most cheap pizza places There meatballs have a good seasoning not just hamburgerballs. They have really good deals for both pick up and delivery.
This shop has every thing an Italian could want. It's fully stocked with everything to make great food. They have lots of canned goods, sauces, tomatoes and dry goods, pasta, bread sticks. There is a deli with fresh salami and ravioli. You have to get some cookies, too.
Mona Lisa has a great Italian atmosphere. They have good food with a really good red sauce. The service is fast. They have a few desserts to choose from. The take-out is just as good and quick. Mona Lisa has the greatest pizza and garlic bread. They do well with kids and the have a clown come in one night a week that does face painting and entertainment.
