We wanted an old pine tree that'd seen better days cut down but thought it'd be too dangerous to do ourselves - it was right next to our house and if it fell the wrong way, the roof would collapse. Tree King Tree Services came over and did it for us. It made a lot of noise, but was done in three hours (this tree was like 15 feet tall) and they got rid of it for us. We're so glad they were able to handle that massive tree so we didn't destroy any property or injure ourselves. Really a great service.
This is a nice used car dealership where I bought my very first car at the age of 17. They had a big selection and you can afford to be picky when you're searching for a car and not settle for less, because they'll have what you're looking for. My requirements were pretty simple - a basic car with decent MPG, four doors, a CD player, and the color silver. I got my first car here which lasted me throughout college, until I made my first brand new car purchase. The salesmen here are pretty persuasive, so keep in mind that they will try to bargain with you and use clever techniques to get you to buy. But overall, the quality of the cars is what made me decide to get a car here, not the salesmen's techniques.
Carpet King Floor has a wide selection of carpets. They have less expensive ones that feel less soft, and really nice plush ones that feel good under barefeet. They have every color imaginable for different rooms, and will make suggestions if you describe the furniture in your room. They give samples, and are generally good at giving recommendations for a good color. I was really satisfied with my purchase - the carpet has upheld for four years now and looks as great as the day it was installed.
Geauga Lake wasn't much different than King's Island. They don't have many unique attractions that makes G.L. stand out from other amusement parks. In their favor, though, they have upgraded their park within the past few years and stripped the old wooden coasters to make room for slick, fast, metal coasters that give a really smooth ride - nothing that rattles your brain, or anything. All of the rides are new, freshly-painted and colorful, giving it an edge over some older theme parks. Prices are steep - it'd be a pretty expensive day for a family of four.
The last funeral home I went to smelled like preservative balm and had the individual being laid out directly across from the main entrance, so it was the first thing you saw when you came in. That's unexpected - I usually like to take a deep breath before going to a different room to approach the person being buried. That's how this funeral home was - the entrance had a lobby to sign in, and it smelled of freshly-cut flowers. They had a downstairs lounge area with complimentary coffee and hot chocolate to get away from weeping relatives, and I didn't feel rushed into anything. I know it isn't something you'd like to think about, but this is a professional funeral home if you're looking for one.
This is a nice amusement park for little kids. My mom has pictures of all the times she took me, with wide smiles on my face in all the pictures. Even though the rides have changed since then (creating rides with the latest cartoon characters and lovable animals kids currently know), the concept has remained the same - small rides that small children can handle - everything is appropriate for their height, and is safe and fun for them. Check it out!
My fiancee and I want to go scuba diving on our honeymoon, so we decided to take a class. This class was so thorough and complete, I can't say enough positive things about it. The instructors are certified and have been scuba diving countlessly, and are experts on the matter. They explain the equipment's purposes, how to use everything, what to do in case your air tank runs out and you're deep underwater, the importance of the buddy system, and how to keep safe from "the bends." It was really informative, and we did mini-practice sessions, which eventually lead to a simulated dive in a deep water resevoir. I feel really confident in our being able to have a safe dive on our tropical excursion.
I needed some modern paintings to adorn my bare walls. I'm a guy, I'm not into flowers or paintings of cottages and creeks. I like modern splashes of color to draw your eye and compliment the furniture in your room. I found a lot of relatively inexpensive (average price per painting was $200) and large works of art from many unknown artists. They're nice gems, and I found a three-piece matching set to go above my couch, which is youthful, trendy, and modern, and doesn't have any deer or little girls playing in a meadow. I love this art gallery.
This is a great catering company. We knew ahead of time some guests had different preferences, so we wanted a company that wouldn't mind creating two or three different dishes to serve to the guests. We wound up with chicken, fish, and a vegetarian platter that people are ticking on the RSVP forms. They had no problem making different dishes, and even recommended different sides for each of them to make a colorful dish where every taste complimented the other. They really know what they're talking about, they're very professional and experienced, and they have everything under control.
This is a really friendly travel agency. We didn't have much of a wait at all, and while we did wait, we looked at posters on the wall of various countries and islands to visit, which gave us an idea of where we wanted to go. They had free booklets and brochers to take home and read, which highlighted the attractions of each destination. We were able to settle on Jamaica because of all the information they had. They were more than willing to talk to us and make suggestions, but just from their well put together booklets, we were able to decide on Jamaica and book a trip online. Great travel agency with a lot of resources!
