I've sent balloon bouquets from this store and they charge a small delivery fee. They also have a little gift store you can pick up items from also. The prices are very reasonable. The flower arrangements are a little pricey tho. The salesperson was helpful in finding the right arrangement for me. I'd use them again.
Gable House has been around for years. It is still very popular with teenagers and party groups. The prices are cheap and they have many bowling aisles to play from so waiting is not that long. They have their tournaments and are located in a little strip mall next to Radio Shack. Parking is ample.
I took my shoes here to get repaired (cracked heel). They don't sell this particular model anymore so I wanted it fixed properly. The worker repaired my shoe fairly quickly and charged me a reasonable price. I was very satisfied with their workmanship and quality of job done.
This supply store has all of the survival gear you will ever need. They sell the usual camoflauge clothes, food, camping gear, etc. It will take awhile to browse thru their aisles. The prices are moderate.
This comic store has a good variety of comics. I like their anime selection and can usually find what I am looking for. They do have backissues usually onhand or can probably get them for you. They carry all the comics you can think of. The staff is friendly and will help you find whatever you came in there looking for. The prices are reasonable, not cheap, but regular prices.
This hidden garden is right up the hill on Crenshaw on the left hand side if going north. It comes up quickly around the curve. They have a nice long garden path winding thru the various flowers and plants. They offer annual passes which can save you some money. I love walking here and relaxing.
This magazine stand probably has every magazine that has been published. The assortment is great and they let you browse without warning you to buy or leave. The hours open are long and they are open 7 days a week. I like this newstand for it's selection.
This game store has a good selection no matter what platform you are using, ps2, gamebox, xbox, etc. They have all the newer games in stock, but I like checking out the trade section where you can get a good deal. They let you browse thru the store with no sales hassles.
The Parking Spot is located really close to LAX. The prices are a little higher than other parking companies. They offer the typical shuttle to the airport. The driver I had was very friendly and talked a lot. They help people with their luggage. The parking structure does have security so you know your car is safe.
I've rented a bike at this store, which is probably 1 block away from Venice Beach. Their selection isn't too great on the weekends so you have to wake up early to get the good bikes. The prices are a little high. They offer rental by hour . It's convenient place to get a bike that's near the beach. Parking is a problem tho because there is no parking lot, only parking meters on the street or street parking.
