This is a "mom and pop" shop that carries all the stuff you need for any of your lock needs. They may not have what you are looking for in stock, but they can usually get it to you pretty quickly. I prefer to go here because they really know locks. When doing stuff around the house, I find that any questions that may arise can usually be answered by the guys behind the counter. If you live in the area, then I suggest you stop in. You'll learn a lot more here!
Recently called these guys to give me a ride to the airport. Had some worries as I didn't want to miss my flight while waiting for a cab. The driver showed up promptly on time and really went out of his way, doing everything he could to help out. The cab was clean and well kept. His driving was also very good as I never felt as if he was going to slow or too fast. I would call them again if I needed their services.
These guys are not only quick, but they also do good work. I recently had to have my timing belts changed and chose to give them a try. I forget if they are AAA approved, but I wholeheartedly approve them. My car came back on time and running beautifully. While they mentioned other services that should be performed on my car, they didn't hassle me. That is very important as most places will hassle you and try to squeeze more money out of you.
I recently had a friend visiting from out of town. On one of the days that I had to work, I sent them on a tour of San Francisco. They came back tired but thoroughly happy. The tour left promptly at their set time and returned just in time for me to pick them up. With other tours I have taken, I find that they tend to cut corners whenever they can. Here I didn't see that. Customer comfort is of the highest concern to them.
If you are in need of a bicycle then stop by and check this place out. They are on El Camino right near the Mr. Pickles Sandwich shop. They have a decent range of bikes with a knowledgable staff who are willing to take the time and explain what you are buying. If you are looking to get into bicycle riding or are a more experienced rider, they should have everything you need.
This is one of the last lumber yards left on the peninsula! With the encroachment of those big Do-it-yourself cookie cutter stores, only a few of these shops have managed to stay around. While they may not have everything in those big stores, the quality of the stuff that they do carry is far superior. If you need any lumber, do yourself a favor and go here. They not only know their stuff, but they also carry quality wood.
Situated across from Peet's Coffee in Millbrae, this place is great for all your jewelry needs. They are always very reasonable in terms of price and never do I feel like I am being cheated.
It is always nice to find a family run operation. Here the entire staff makes you feel like you belong to part of their family. I feel completely confident in their skills and approach to optometry. For anyone in the area that is fed up with the poor customer service of chain eye doctors, this is the place. They work hard to help you out in terms of scheduling and give an honest opinion on glasses without the pressure of a mark up.
For a city the size of Millbrae, it is amazing that they have such a rich history. While it is easy to overlook this small building, it is well worth a visit on a lazy Saturday afternoon. Aside from giving a history of the town and the family after which it is named, this museum also includes many objects from the early 1900s. Things such as old household items or old letters can be found here. This is a great place for a school project as the staff present are always willing to help.
In this day and age of large warehouse furniture chains, it is nice to come across a smaller more personable furniture store. This is a store full of furniture. One thing worth mentioning is that this establishment gives back considerably to the community. The prices are on par to those of other furniture stores in the area but i would choose them because of the quality of their service and the overall commitment to customer care.
