This office is SUPER SHADY. The last time I was there, a guy walked up to the reception desk, stated that he was a friend of one of the other doctors there and asked for some free samples. Without even questioning it, the broad behind the desk gave him 4 handfuls of free drugs. Um, illegal much?
I tried canceling an appointment, 23 hours, 47 mins prior. I was told I would have to pay a $75 cancellation fee because you have to give them 24 hours notice. Really? 13 mins late. Guess they really need the money, especially if they're handing out free drugs they need to get all that they can.
I should have known that they would be bloodsuckers as every time I had gone in, I always had to the SAME conversation/argument with the front desk about payment. They demanded a copay each time, and each time I had to explain to them that I do not have a copay.
The doctor I saw over 6 months, Dr. Stanton...fails to write down accurate information in your records. She'll initially write one medication, then 5 mins later change her mind about what she will put you on, but fail to put that new medication in your file. This is a problem because every single follow up visit after that you constantly have to correct her on what regiment she had ACTUALLY put you on. Your follow ups?she will spend 5 mins with you and that will cost you $75 is you have a copay/deductible.
Be prepared to wait as apparently people with mental health issues also have a problem with being on time. Every time I have gone in there (on time) someone strolls in an hour late and demands to meet with the doctor, and they end up taking my slot...which is why I guess I only see the doctor for 5 mins.
You??re better off going somewhere else. Anything to do with mental health, you want to feel comfortable, not stressed out with having to deal with the office staff, or irritated that you constantly have to remind the doctor of the plan she put you on.
This guy has managed to convince people that he is a genius when it comes to allergies. If you have known allergies or asthma, and you need basic treatment, then I'm sure he's great for that as it doesn't take much work on his end. However, if you have massive allergy symptoms that don't pop up via any testing, his solution is to put you on 4 different types of meds (including asthma meds) regardless of the fact that you do not have allergies or asthma! If you don't know what you're treating, why is he randomly giving out meds? Also, he pushes products on you, to which I'm sure he gets kick backs from. Example, they push "allergy control" products costing hundreds of dollars and they tell you MAKE SURE that you tell them that Dr. Eitches recommended them! He will also tell you that you have a deviated septum (though my ENT has already told me that I do NOT) and will strongly urge you to see his friend for the unnecessary surgery. Beyod that, he's a little pompous. He won't even take his own notes, he has an "assistant" to do that for him. Nor does he listen to you. You will end up repeating yourself several times to him which is frustrating as he really doesn't listen to a word you're saying. He just wants to put you on unnecessary meds and collect a check.
Gina is awesome! You can't fake experience. If you've been tormented by below average stylists and you're tired of paying waaay too much money for someone's ego (or a location), then see Gina. She is extremely knowledgeable and can diagnose your hairs problems within minutes followed along with several solutions. Cut or color, she can do it all, SAFELY. She??s not going to do something just to do it, especially if it??s going to cause damage. I respect that.
$80 for a Blah Trim (that's right TRIM, nothing else). Not worth the money at all. They won't even put product in your hair, so you'll not only leave with a below average trim, but a frizzy one too.
This place has a great feel - not yoga snobs at all! They have a huge schedule for all levels, and great workshops monthly with some fun parties throughout the year. They have a good variety of teachers, so you'll never get bored.
According to her, I am too young to have any real medical issues...yeah...I know! That's what concerns me! I am having symptoms, and I'm too young for them! She gave me a basic full body examination checking for moles, but disregarded the reason I came in to begin with. She didn't take me seriously and completely blew me off.
Well - after 7 visits (1 consultation, 2 leg procedures, 2 ultra sound followups & 2 regular followups), I've only met Dr. Hurwitz once during the consultation. I expected the doc to do the laser vein procedures himself, as he boasted during the consult that he was one of the best in the US that does this, but yet some guy named "Arturo" did the procedures. Um, who is Arturo? What are his credentials?? Is he even a Thoracic Surgeon?? Other than that, I've never waited LESS THAN 1 HOUR in the waiting room for a scheduled appt...just to have to wait another 30-45 mins in the examination room. The office staff lack any sort of communication skills, no one seems to know what the other is doing or what to charge for stockings and whatnot and they argue with each other everytime I've gone in! Plus the older lady at the front desk has some serious people issues. She's is always just so miserable and seems 'put out' if you want to schedule a followup. Who wants to walk into an office like that? Yeah, my health is better, but what a miserable drawn out experience all around. Would not recommend this office at all.
I saw this doctor 5 times over 3 months for back pain. Each time, he told me to do pelvic exercises and to come back in 3 weeks, and then charged me $75 each time. He wasn't interested/proactive in finding out what was causing my pain, and there was absolutely no progress in my situation. 8 months later, still with back pain, I went to a new doc and he immediately saw irritation with my back via an X-ray and ordered an MRI, and he currently has a few game plans for recovery ready for whatever results I get back...and yet, Dr. Getz looked at the X-rays and saw nothing and told me to do pelvic exercises. So either he's not thorough, or he can't be bothered. Either way, I will not go back to him or refer anyone for his services.
So a few things really turned me off about this place, starting with the atmosphere. Yeah, it looks nice, but the vibe is elitist & cold. I wasn't aware that I was talking to the "assistant" stylist until Tammy came out to introduce herself. Tammy didn't seem to care about what I thought or wanted overall. I'm not sure if it's a matter of having such a huge ego that she did the opposite of what I asked, or if it just comes down to not fully understanding English. I say this because I don't know how "I'm growing my hair out long" can be interpreted as cutting 4-5 inches off my hair to where I MAY be able to wear it in a pony tail in about a month. And when she asked me how I wanted my hair styled, and I replied "dry it curly", she blew it out straight! This was shocking as I had just finished telling her that I don't like it straight. Who the hell has balls like that? My guess is that she was covering up a bad cut with the fancy blowdry because I went home immediately and washed my hair to let it dry curly and I was furious at what had occurred. A curly mullet with huge chunks missing on the sides. I am totally disgusted that this stylist didn't "review" my hair prior to cutting, followed by dismissing what I wanted just show she can showoff her straightening skills. That was $100 totally wasted and I'm not even kidding when I say I am wearing headbands & hats to cover this mess up. ***UPDATE*** I went to a new stylist for a trim post-tammy/ravissant-disater, and she struggled how to politely ask who botched up my hair! When another stylist can look at your hair and point out 6 things that are wrong with the cut before I can even say, is a good indication that the prior stylist is a hack. Do yourself a favor, don't buy into the hype, and stay away from Ravissant & more importantly, stay away from Tammy!
This restaurant gets 2 stars because they did have good wine & dessert in additional to the valet guys being courteous and fast. As far as the service and the food in general, no way. I LOVE eating in West Hollywood and I have to say that there are many places that have better food, service & ambiance for less and I don't care how many supposed celebrities eat here. Of course my opinion may not mean much to you, but here's why I choose to write a not-so-pleasant review of this place. Everything comes down to what you pay for. For a bill that will get close to $300 for 2 people I expect the sauce that my pasta comes with NOT to taste like tomato paste from a can. This was atrocious. Of course my first indication that this place may not be up to par was when both tables on either side of me had returned their meals. I tried to push through as I had starved myself all day for this supposed fabulous place, but after 3 bites, I couldn't take it. When I let my waiter/wannabe actor know this, he gave me a look of "what the heck" and took off unapologetic. When he came back from the kitchen he had stated that both he and the chef tasted the pasta and nothing was wrong with it and that is how they make it. After hearing that, I knew I would NOT order something else since serving canned sauce is what they do, I wasn't going to pay $35 for it. As far as the service. Insulting. Our waiter (can't tell you his name as he never gave it to us) took our entree order and our dessert order. NEVER stopped by to ask how everything was. Actually, it was an ordeal to get him to stop by our table in order to tell him the entree was not up to par. I sat there for 10 minutes not touching my food waiting for him. Finally, at the end of the evening, I waited through 3 glasses of water before he gave us our bill. If I was at Denny's, I expect that sort of poor service, but for this place, at this cost, not a chance. In regards to the ambiance, I don't particularly like yelling "huh, what?" to the person I am dining with who happens to be only 2 feet from my face. I can honestly say, I have no idea what was said the entire night. I had to do the whole "nod & smile" bit as this place tends cram tables next to each other in order to seat more people which then makes them more money. And finally, for a self deluded hoity-toity place in We-Ho...their restROOM I guess what you would called "unisex". As a female, there's nothing like sitting down staring at (and smelling) a urinal. This place obviously makes money, they can at least afford to have separate restrooms. Absolutely not worth the final bill.
