Even though the previous poster is the founder of the place (his rating shouldn't count) - this is indeed a lovely, non-pretentious place to get a facial and/or a massage. Not hoity-toity or snobbish, very contemporary & zen like. Their staff seem to be knowledgeable. I've been getting great advice whilst getting my facials! I only wish they did pedicures/foot treatments.
All the details of this restaurant are absolutely amazing. The decor is outstanding and the staff is surprisingly courteous! Oh, and the food was wonderful too! The one problem we had (no fault of the restaurants) is that there was a larger party next to us who thought it was a bar and hovered over us in our corner, so that when I was eating, I got an elbow to my back twice! Management saw this problem immediately and quickly rectified the situation, which I thought was outstanding. Most businesses don't have a backbone when it comes to that sort of thing, so I was very impressed. Our waitress was completely courteous, professional and patient as we took our time when ordering/eating. Highly recommend. I can't wait to go back.
My first visit to this place was extremely disappointing due to Dr. Farag. She made assumptions about me before entering the exam room and within minutes, she had decided NOT to help me. She hovered in the corner without examining me and stated that nothing was wrong with me even though I have some VERY physical symptoms. After several requests for a blood test she finally agreed and added that there's nothing she could do for me beyond that. I was so disgusted by her display of poor professionalism and lack of patient compassion that I had decided to change doctors within the group to get my results. Since then, I've had adequate care, but no one has had the initiative to try and discover the source of my ails. They talked a good game, "Oh, I won't give up, we'll find out whats wrong", one blood test later, they've given up.This place is good if you have "basic" medical problems. Not recommended if you have something more serious that needs to be detected.
I'm quite shocked at some of the negative reviews for Dr. Kornafel. She's been one of the best doctors I have had...EVER. I was extremely impressed with my very first visit with her that she sat me in her OFFICE to discuss my past/present issues & overall wellbeing. I've never had a doctor do that. I was floored! I also appreciate the fact that she takes an ultrsound of your ovaries. This is included in the normal checkup charge and is just an extra step of precaution. I've never had a doctor actually be pro-active in the catching/preventing of problems. As far as people having to wait, it has happened, usually no longer than 30minutes, but I chalk that up to her actually taking the time to talk to the patient she currently has in the room! She doesn't just say "times up" and kicks you out so that she can see the next patient. Regardless of other peoples issues with her, I highly recommend her! If you want bad doctor, see Kim Reyes, now she's AWFUL!
Besides the reception staff being dumb and rude, Dr. Reyes is just as rude and cold. Not at all worth the $150 (for the uninsured), especially when it's a year later and I'm still waiting for the office to give me my results. I'm going to a different doctor this time around and am having problems getting my records, which I am, and you all are entitled to have for yourself, and that's state law. I'll say more when I get my records!
Don't waste your time. She'd rather be boogie-boarding.
PROS: Absolutely None
CONS: Doesn't listen to the patient, or consider previous Dr's notes
