Chill Spot is a real barber shop. A friend took me with him to get a hair cut and he gets his very short and faded. They do a great job and you feel like the old days where it is a barber shop and not a salon. This place is for men! The prices are good and they make you feel very comfortable. They don't offer a lot of other treatments but there hair cuts are very good. Parking can be tricky.
They don't have the huge selection that some of the other shops in the area have but they have them very well organized and easy to find. They are the typical cigar shop with the lighters and cutters for sale as well as some loose tobacco for pipes. They are friendly and helpful and just an all around nice store. They know there cigars so ask for help!
From the moment I walked into Two Brother's Cigars I felt comfortable. The guy working the counter took me back to the humidor and spent a lot of time explaining cigars to me. They have such a selection and even had cigars that I had never heard of. They are a A1 place and they make you feel at home from the start. The prices are good and they had some on "sale" and they were actually very good. They have lighters and end cutters too and some small cases and humidors. You can sit and watch tv while you smoke or chat up with the guys hanging out there.
Irving Golf Range is a nice little course but it isn't up kept very well- or at least the two times I have been there. The greens are too long and the fairways were brown. You can rent carts there and people don't seem to keep them on the paths and there were even tire marks up on the green by the hole. The prices are very good and I guess this would be good for someone who is just learning golf because it is cheap to play.
I go to the Golf Center of Arlington to hit balls on the golf range. They have the cheapest bucket of balls around and the markers are big enough to see. They have lights so you can hit at night or twilight. It is a great place to practice. There hitting matts are getting a little old and need to be replaced. There is plenty of parking.
Addison Cigars is a nice store but is small and the selection isn't as good as some of the higher end stores I go to. They do have a lot of middle of the road cigars. They have lighters and humidors. They also have small gift type items that are perfect for cigar smokers. The store is easy to find on the circle but parking can be tricky.
For such a small store- this store has a lot to offer and the staff makes you want to come back time and time again. They have a large humidor with a very good selection. They also have a lot of small humidors to buy. They carry the temperature gauges and thermometers for the inside of the humidors. They have lighters and cutters too. They also have lots of gift items.
Town and Country Cigars is an ok place to buy cigars. I have been in twice and neither time did they have my cigars in stock. I also bough a lighter here and it only work for a day or two. The prices are good but the store is small and the clerk didn't seem to know much about the cigars. There was good parking though.
Grapevine Cigar is a nice little store in Grapevine on Main street. It is in the old historical part of the town. The store is small and has two large humidors. There are a lot of cigars to choose from. There is a smoking room in back but I think that is for members or good old boys only because I was told I could not go back there. The store is nice and has a lot to offer. The prices are average.
Edwin Watts is a large store where you can everything you need for golf in one place. Unlike a lot of the sporting stores, the staff knows golf. They are there to sell golf and know about it. The prices are actually very good. They do have very high end clubs that can run a lot but most of their merchandise is middle of the road. Check them out if you are an avid golfer.
