This store is the most expensive of the convenience stores in the area. They generally have quite a few empty shelves, it's poorly lit and the staff on a whole is rude and/or completely apathetic. I would not recommend this store unless you had no other options.
The first thing to keep in mind is that this is a school and the person cutting your hair is a student. If you can accept that, then this is a great place to go for an inexpensive hair cut. It might not turn out exactly as planned, but you have to be prepared for that - they're students and they're still learning. You can also get color and your nails done as well.
This is a newer grocery store that has opened in the neighborhood. With a definate European (Polish) flair, this market stocks quite a few Polish products. They generally have good deals on meats as well. This is a great place to pick up a few authentic items for your menu.
This place is fantastic. They have every kind of canned tomato you can possibly think of, quite a few different kind of pastas and then all the different kinds of meats to make an authentic Italian meal that tastes great. I go here at least once a month to pick up things.
What a great place to pick up all your cards and gifts. This clean well lit store has a little bit of everything. Cards, small gifts, paper and some office supplies. I like this store for all my gift paper and cards.
One of the few single sex Catholic high schools remaining in Chicago, St. Pat's has a long history of excellent education. Most of the males in my family have gone here and have nothing but good things to say. The school has an active alumni association and there are frequent alumni outings including an annual golf outing. A great education for your young man.
Jade is one of the most popular places in Chicago to get a tattoo done. I've had mine done here and most of the people I know who've had work done got them here. The place is clean, the artists are friendly and they got 1000's of tattoos to pick from. The prices are very reasonable and they're open until late in the evening.
These stores are all over the local Chicago area. They had a huge selection of trendy clothing at cheap prices. The have a fantastic selection of purses, belts and jewelry. The cons of this store, however, are the worst service I've ever experienced and you can't try anything on. Other than that, I've found several tops and sweaters that are perfect for the season.
Most of the clothes here are not going to last you more than a season, and they are mainly desired for the teen, young adult body. However, there are quite of few tops and sweaters that help fill in the career wardrobe.
This clothing store has a great window display. Most of the clothing featured in store is of the formal "prom" type. They do carry separates, however, these are mostly for the 25 and under crowd.
