I have seen the old school and the new school and I'm very pleased with the teachers and staff. My children are excited to learn and enjoy reading. The school promotes reading on many levels with programs and incentives. The office staff is friendly & helpful from assisting sick children to answering questions on the phone. The flow of communication between parents and teachers is great. I have enjoyed many assemblies in the new gym/cafeteria area. The school is always clean as well.
After moving here, I decided to peruse the shopping district of this town to see what it had to offer. I immediately noticed Evonne's on the corner with it's beautiful window displays. I couldn't wait to stop in. There are numerous booths neatly organized with an array of merchandise. They sell both new and used items. The ladies that work there are always very nice and smiling. I just noticed recently they added a section for clothing amongst the antiques. The store has quite a bit of charm and is a wonderful place to shop.
We were recommended by a family member to see a female dentist at Smokey Point Family Dentistry. The female dentist works well with children and my children do not like the dentist. The waiting room is spacious and has a fish tank in the children's area as well as a wide selection of magazines. The wait wasn't long at all. The dental assistants were friendly and helpful with explaining procedures to myself and my children, putting all of us at ease. The staff was very patient with my youngest child when she did not want to get her sealants. We ended up not getting the sealants at that time but will try again in the near future. I'm getting ready to schedule my own appointment very soon!
I visited Mimi's Kids for the first time this month. I was in search of Dora clothing for my 2 year old niece. The shop was nicely organized by size and gender. I was amazed at the reasonable prices compared to other shops in the area. The owner of the shop was wonderful to work with and helped me locate specific things I was looking for. I will definitely be back very soon.
In the summer of 2005, we were going on vacation and our dog needed to be updated on her vaccinations before we could board her. All Creatures was the veterinary office I drove past often, so I decided to make an appointment there. We only waited about 5 minutes before being taken to the exam room. The female vet was very nice in her treatment of my dog and recommended some dog training ideas during my visit. We were in and out the door in less than 30 minutes and the staff was very friendly. We will definitely be back.
PROS: Nice staff, thorough exams, kind to the animals
CONS: Parking can be tricky
I went to Dr. Johnson several years ago when I needed braces. I never like going to the dentist so thinking of going to an orthodontist was even worse. I was in his care for 2 years. He helped with explaining why braces were needed in my case & how they would help my smile. His staff was always great to work with and Dr. Johnson always double checked their work. Many years later, I still have a great smile thanks to him.
I went to Seahurst Pediatrics when I was a kid and I have taken both of my children there. Dr. Rabinowitz and Dr. Greenfield are wonderful, caring doctors. The waiting room is large enough for the kids to play around the corner in the play area. The wait time isn't every long. The staff is great in following up phone calls and answering questions.
I purchased a Volkswagen Passat from Campbell Nelson. The salesperson was an older gentleman and he worked with us on finding a car in our price range and get a fair value on the trade in. We brought the Passat back to them for service follow-ups and had nothing short of exceptional service each time. I would purchase another car again from there.
I have been with this company for a few years for my auto and home insurance. They are quick to send updates and information on any changes in my policies. When I have called for clarification of coverage issues, they were very prompt in returning my phone call and offering other suggestions on handling claims.
Lollipops is a nice place to shop. There have been several owners over the years. I'm sad they no longer consign but they will pay cash for your items. They have too much inventory on the racks making a quick shopping trip near impossible. But the merchandise they carry is nice.
