What is the reason for me to go to New York as often as I do - food!!!!! I go there to check out the new (and the old) Russian restuarants. I have gone to plenty and Russian Samovar really stands out by the food quality and personal service. Service in Russian Rests usually is not all that great - but here, everyone is pleasant and sweet. I wil be back
Russian Tea House is a wonderful place to unwind at after a long day shopping. I love their coffee cakes and I love the teas. I also enjoy light suppers there - their food is really delicious. I went there twice when I was in the area - and will definately go there again!!! Thank you, Russian Tea House
I am sorry, Art Cleaner, that I have to give you such low ratings. I don't think I have ever given a low rating to anybody here before. I have gone to the Art Cleaner twice and both times had problems there. First time I was there - I got muged. Second time, I waited for a machine to free up and I waited and I waited. 20 minutes later I left - I had no more time to wait. Overall - will never go there again.
I've cleaned my clothes at Albrite Cleaners on Irving but Gosh, does that place get overcrowded. I don't think I have ever been there in a "off-peak" hour - seems like it is peak hour 24 hours a day. My clothes were always nice and clean after being washed there but I just didn't enjoy the crowd! Good place if you can find out what time it is less crowded. Good luck!
My friend just bought a 3 year old town home in Alameda and she asked me to help her move in. I did and I also offered to do her aludry on items that she was using to clean around the house, like towels and such. I wnet to the local Alameda Cleaners and washed the stuff for her. Everything turned out nice and clean. The machines were pretty speedy. OVerall, I liked Alameda Cleaners.
I have purchased a persian rug and it had a weird smell. I decided to take it to A & G California Rug Upholstery & Drapery Cleaner in San Francisco and they promised me to take the smell out. When I picked it up, the smell was gone and my beautiful new rug was ready to be hanged on a wall. Jobe well done, A & G California Rug Upholstery & Drapery Cleaner!
I looked and looked and searched and searched for a good drapery cleaner place. I got this name from a friend of mine that lives in MV and I decided to take my expansive drapes there. I was worried that they will shrink them or damage them. But the draperies really turned out fine and CLEAN! I was so happy that I even left Ace Cleaners & Draperies a tip!
On of my clients is located on Burlingame Ave and he took me to a coffee shop close to his work. Well, as usually I am a huge clutz and so I spilled a drink on my jacket. I had similar expereinces before and so I just asked my client for the closest laudry. HE pointed me to A 1 Cleaners and I successfully got my small stain out of my jacket. Good place.
One day I was shopping in the Embarcadero center and by an accident spilled coffee on my fabric Gucci bag. I was devastated - I paid so much moeny for it and bought it recerently. I ran into the first dry cleaning service and asked for my bag to be dry cleaned. When I picked it up - there were no coffee spots on it - I was extatic! I now recomend this place to all of my friends that work or live in the area
Whyen I worked on the 14th street - I visited 18th Street Cleaners whenever my favorite dry cleaners were closed (1 day a week.) I was satisfyed with 18th Street Cleaners services - the only thing that they could do better is to be better on timing. IT happened a couple of times that they didn't return my clothes on time. IT was not a huge deal but still.
