Fitwize 4 Kids really does not seem to have any competetion. I have not found any gym-kind of place where my kids can run around, exersize and just get fit. This is the only place that offers such ameneties and I love it for that. My daughter goes here and she has friends that go there as well. She loves it, I love it and mu hubby does to. I highly recomend Fitwize 4 Kids.
I my gosh - I love my pilate instructor at the Purely Pilates. The instructions i get in the class are so much better then at the gym that I workout at. The people working at the Purely Pilates are truly in love with what they do and are completely dedicated. Purely Pilates is worth every penny (and considering other gym membership prices - this place is truly a burgain!)
I have been a member at this local Ymca for 3 years and I hated all 3 of those years. You really can't get a good workout there because the place is always crowded. The pool is also pretty busy especially during evening hours. And the daycare - you cannot get a place there unless you arrange it in advance and it just seems like I could never do that. Overall, not a pleasant gym. I now belong to PJCC.
There are a lot of the salons at the Irving street. Hair Republic is one of the ones over there. It really is different from the rest of the salons because the hair dressers working there are super sweeet. My husband once went there with me to get a hair-cut and the stylists really worked on his ego (and his cut.) He now goes there all the times and loves them. And I love his hair-cuts.
I have to mention that Virtuoso For Hair has really good hairstylists. And the prices there are reasonable - no $200 do-over. I've gone to a girl working there (Can't remember her name now) and she did a phenomenal work on my hair. I left with a wonderful hair-do and will some day go there again (the only problem it is a little bit far for me to get to.)
I once went to a wedding and stumbled upon Hair Me Out on Irving street when I was shopping for groceries. Well, I got into the stylist's chair without having to schedule an appoitment in advance. I left with a really cute haircut: layers and everything. It was trendy and hit. I liked it and I will be coming back.
Cutting Corner is no Super-Cuts. The salon has proffessional hair-stylists that do fenominal work on my daughter. My child has really long hair with lots of split ends. The hairstulists at the Cutting Corner really help her with haircuts and looking after that gourgeous hair of hers. I highly recomend Cutting Corner for anyone that cares about their hair!
I love this salon. I once went there to get my hair done - it was fabulous. I left with the most beautiful hair-cut for $80 total. It was very expansive but totally worth it. My hair stayed healthy for a full month! Thanks Alexander G!
(I recomend going there on a Wednesday - it is less crowded then!)
I have to say that Flowers To Go is a cute little flower shop. I have made a bouquet there for my grandma and I liked the arrangment. While waiting for my bouquet, I have noticed really unsusual flowers in vases there - probably tropical. There also some small plants in animal figures there - something very original.
prices are outrageous there, though. i paid quite a bit more then i expected for a bouquet
I hate to give one star to any business, but I am completely unsatisfied with the service I have received at the Bloom Fresh. When I asked for a red-rose bouquet, I have received a slightly off-red flowers that were on the verge of dying. The green leaves were slightly old and turning in.
the price was also a premium price that you expect to pay for a top-notch bouquet.
definitely would not go here again
