I bought a bouquet for my mother for mothers day at the Orchid Floral and it was a beautiful rose and orchid arrangement with lots of green leaves and white speckled plants. It looked so different and yet so perfect for my mom - she absolutely loved it and teared my when getting flowers from me.
I have send a thank you card to the Orchid Floral and I fealth that they did such a great job that i will happily be back.
When I worked in San Mateo, I have ordered a number of bouquets at the Danas Flower Basket. I always got personalized services and most of the time could pick what i wanted over the phone and just pick it up in a few hours. The bouquets always looked fresh and the flowers looked first class.
I also liked the location of the shop - with lots of free parking around - no need to stock up on meter money!
I have ordered so many bouquets at the Foster City Flowers & Gifts: for my mom and my grandma and people at work. The shop makes beautiful personal bouquets and they are just so magnificent and special-lloking. Not the kind of generic-looking bouquets you can buy at Safeway.
Prices are MUCH higher then safeway prices - but you get what you pay for. You can simply just get a nice expansive bouquet there and not buy a gift to go with it.
Usa Photo Lab, located not too far from the local extansive playground, is a great place to have your shots printed while playing at the playground with your kids.
I have printed lots of enlaqrgements at this shop, mainly because I have found Usa Photo Lab to be great at larger print work. I have also recomended this place to =my friends and they have all been very happy with the work done.
I find out odd that the photo printing stores have diminished and I like the fact that there is at least one moms and pops store still available in Foster City. whenever i need a quick photo order, I run to Express 1 Hour Photo. i do prefer the stores in palo alto because they offer higher quality prints but Express 1 Hour Photo is probably the second best. they don't have as thick of pritns as the shops in palo alto but they have very sweet people working at the shop.
I do not agree with a previous poster, I found Phototime to be a grat plave to develop and print your pictures. The prints come out crisp and shart and think and beautiful. The finishes that they offer are all very nice and the convinienve to the Standford Shopping mall stores can't be beat. The staff is knoweledgable and can fix some of the mistakes you did when taking pictures (like adjusting the lightness and darkness of the photo,) push or pull film when developing it. Great great place Phototime is.
When I had a film camera, I have gone to the Photo Express to develop my film. The prices at the Photo Express were pretty high - but not higher then at any of the other moms and pops photo shops. Defiantely higher then wallgreans or longs but then the quality is so much better. Matt prints are incredible - somewhat textured, thick and just hold up well in the hand. Enlargements are also quite pretty. We've also done Christmas cards at the Photo Express and our relatives have loved them so much!
Vincent Tarry is a wonderful photographer. He has done our pictures at our wedding and they turned out beautiful. We have heard so many horror stories about some photographers who'd come to parties with failed equipment or who would turn out horrible pictures - and Vincent Tarry had nothing like that happening to him (or us.) We recieved a full album of perfect shots and we steal tear up, looking at them!
When I tought a group of 7-year-olds on how to make ceramical art, I have purchased alll of my supplies at the local San Carlos Sherrys Western Ceramic Supply Company store. Because I had a large group of kids, I need to buy my supplies in bulk (it is much cheaper that way) and Sherrys Western Ceramic Supply Company really allowed me to save some money and still get really good quality supplies. Go there if you need large quantity of supplies - but if you only need a little, Sherrys Western Ceramic Supply Company is probably not the store for you.
When we were remodeling earlier this year, we have chosen a special design for our walls. We have gone to Home Depot and Lowes and did not find the right paints and wallpapers to match our design. We found Burlingame Paint & Wallpaper on our way to a local market and right from the window, we have noticed the right pattern in the wallpaper that we have been looking for. Burlingame Paint & Wallpaper really has a nice selection of wall papers and paints and you can definately find what you need there.
