Pearl could have been a nice store if it had much more variety. But it does not and the prices are way too high. the location is pretty bad as well - located in Market street in not such a safe neighborhood.
Pine Market is a really nice neighborhood marke with a pretty nice selection of everyday items. I buy milk there and bread and cereals and cheses whenevver I don't have time to run to Safeway.
B Saint Billiards is a really nice billiard place in San Mateo. Since that place really does not have competetion - we end up going there all the time. We like it - it is a pretty decent billiard. The prices there are also pretty standard and the quality of services is satisfacotry.
A Place 2 Play is a fun place for kids to hang out. It is sort of like Gymboree gyms but not as crowded and has slightly different gym attractions. A lot of friends of mine go there and we all love A Place 2 Play. I am also planning to do a birthday party there this year for my son.
I used to live in Brisbane when I was single and I used to go to Town & Country Billiards to meet other people and just hang out with friends. IT was fun and time flew by quickly. Prices are average there and location is also average.
If you have nothing to do on a rainy day - head to the Metreon. That is what we do and we love our rainy days now. We go see a movie there or play high tech bowling-type of game (which costs a lot, by the way.) Or we sit in a food cort and eat Japanese food and drink coffee with a delicious desert.
We always have somewhere to park since the parking garage is on the next block - also not free but then nothing in life is/
My grandson goes to Noe Valley right now and I really admire the teachers for the respect they give each child. IT is not very common in preschools and kindergardens to treat children like adults with dignity and respect and Noe Valley Nursery School really strives to do that - at least that is what it seems like to me.
I liked La Petite Academy. We lived in San Pablo for 1 year and my son attended the school for 1/2 a year. The school put schildren first, respecting each child as a valued and unique individual with distinct interests and opinions, they are really sensitive to each child's abilities and learning style. These were the primary reasons why we liked the school and took our son there
Marina Childrens Center is a really heart-warming daycare. My son goes there and he loves his teachers - all of them. He comes home with lots of art work that he made in school and is very proud of his achievements. I feel totally safe with this school and highly advice it to anyone
One of the best preschools in San Francisco are held by the Jewish Community Center Preschools, located in the Rosenberg Center. The teachers are really well educated in their field and are completely devoted to their jobs - they keep in touch with all parents and update them on the successes and failures of their kids.
