Couldn't ask for a better children's dentist. My kids don't fear having their teeth worked on, because Dr Pettinato is so nice and so gentle. His office is fun for the kids, yet very clean and proffesional for the adults. His prices are average, but his service certainly is not.
PROS: Perfect for kids
The jewlery alone is worth a trip to La France. They have fabulous clothing, both restored vintage and new vintage style, but better than that, they have gloves, shoes, hats, and wonderful jewlery. VERY full store, and really nice help.
PROS: LOTS of stock, in great shape.
CONS: High prices, crowded store.
if you like real thrift stores, with an eclectic mix of junk and treasure, at a great price, this is the shop for you. Their prices are outstanding, they ahve a huge selection, and it's hard to leave empty handed.
PROS: Classic Thriftstore
The International Basaar has a bit of everything. Displays are arranged by the country of origin, so that a shopper can brows bath salts from Israel, clothing form Japan, and tea from Africa. They also make a great fruit smoothie. They have classes in dance and music, and a weekly chess club. Nice staff. The Prices are variable.
PROS: Wide variety
CONS: In Centro Ybor
This has fast become my favorite lunch spot. It has a fantastic selection, from Veggetarian, beef and Chicken tacos, to the amazing 'gator taco, but they have even better burritos and salads. And the price is amazingly low. If you call ahead, they will have your food ready, and their hours are fantastic. They are even open when the bars close.
PROS: Fantastic food, practically free.
Four Green Fields is by far the best Irish pub in town, with great beers, good Irish food and live music. The staff and the patrons are friendly and the bar itself is amazing, with white plaster walls and an authentic thatched roof.
Parking is difficult, but worth it.
PROS: Food, beer, and live music at a great price.
CONS: Difficult parking
Three-Palms has a fantastic atmosphere, and a very friendly staff. The food is unusual and tasty, but not the kind of thing I'd want to eat often. It's a great place for a first date, however.
PROS: Good first date place
...Or at least a pearl of high price. Pearl's is expensive, but if you need an art supply, from stamping to fine paper, paints and brushes, to beads, Pearl's has it. You just have to be willing to pay for it.
PROS: Great Selection
CONS: High Price
AOE has a well rounded, reasonably priced selection of art supplies, tools, paints, and books. They also have an amazing little selection of homeschool books and supplies, at the normal market value.
PROS: They have most art supplies and Homeschool books.
CONS: Dark, crowded, hard to navigate.
North Tampa Photography is recomended by the local proffesional potographers that I know. The staff is knowledgeable, the stock is amazing, and the prices...well the prices reflect that. This is not the least expensive place to go, but if results matter, it's the best.
PROS: Well informed staff, good selection.
