This company was a lifesaver when my son was born. He needed the billirubin blanket for jaundice. It was an ice storm when he was home and the doctor stated that if he couldn't find a company to bring out the billirubin blanket to us, then he would have to admit my son to the hospital to have him under the lights there. This devistated me and it was 7pm so I didn' think anyplace would bring one to us during the ice storm so late at night but this place did. The guy was so nice who drove it to our house on his way home. I was so happy. They even came and picked it up as well
My husband's company had us work with Carmen from Equity housing for our temporary apartment and furnishings when we first moved to Michigan. Carmen was there for alot of help when there was a mix up with the apartments (the aparmtments mistake). She was quick to set up additional temporary housing for us until our apartment was ready. When we had a problem with some furniture, she quickly got the situation resolved. The apartment that we were put it was very nice and had lots of space.
I have taken my toddler to two classes here- art class (Picasso Tots) and a diaper dancing. Both classes were worth the money. They kept the kids attention and was a valuable resource to meet other mom's. The prices are very reasonable and cheaper than many other places. She offers great times that do not conflict with nap schedules. Lisa, the owner, is very flexible for make up classes and such. She offers a parent's night out as well.
Easy location with lots of parking too.
I have been researching this school to possibly send my son to for preschool and this is a top notch school. The campus is gorgeous and the education the children receive seem to be exceptional. They do offer financial aid for those who qualify. They do have a great science musuem appropriate for all aged kids. They also have a beautiful art museum on campus. The campus is located directly off of Woodward Avenue.
We went here looking for my son's bedroom furniture and I found quite a bit I liked but the prices were outrageous. I found the sales staff to be a little pushy as well. My son was looking at stuff and the sales person was all bent out of shape with my son touching stuff. In a store that sells stuff to kids, expect the kids to come in too since they need to help pick out their furniture. Don't have things around if you don't want them touched.
I like this store because you can find quality toys that don't have batteries, noise, etc. I like to find wood toys for my kids and they typically have many of these. You don't have to fight the crowds of the big toy stores to find what you want at Christmas time. The staff are very friendly and you can allow your child to look around and interact with some of the toys.
I am addicted to stationary, cards, invites etc and I love to browse and buy at this store. It is a little pricey but I feel you get what you pay for-quality. They have such cute invitations that can be printed at home or in their store. They also have perfect little gifts such as note cards, books, bookmarks etc. If you are searching for a unique invite, this would be the store to look at.
This is a great zoo to take the family. The polar bear exhibit is really put together well. It is easy to navigate around the zoo. They have a huge playgroup for kids to play on and the train is a perfect way to end the day. I would however offer a few more places for food and drinks. Those seem to be a little sparse. The train could also be a little cheaper but overall a great experience. My family loves it.
I always take my heavy items to this UPS store for shipping. There prices beat out any other shipping place for heavy stuff. They have a great assortment of boxes and packing supplies that are needed as well. I have worked with Scott a few times over the phone on getting shipping quotes. He is very nice and easy to work with. UPS seems to ship faster as well. My parcels always get to their destination in a timely manner
This library is first class all the way. When you walk it, you think you are not in a library with the goregous flooring. Even their bathrooms are gorgeous. There is a nice area that you could bring a lunch in and eat in between reading some books or doing some research. THey have a huge kids playroom with some open playgroup time when they bring out some toys. The children's area is very kid friendly with large animals, puppets and puzzles.
