When we had to take our bike in, we took it to Don's Cycles because a couple of friends we ride with told us they were one of the best shops in town. They were very quick with the repair and you couldn't tell where they had fixed it. The charge was very fair and they even polished some chrome for us that had a scratch. I was very impressed with how professional they were.
I just got into beading and have found a lot of places to buy beads but Auntie's Beads is one of my favorites. I love the selection and the way they have them all organized. They have more than just beads . They have a lot of supplies to make crafts and jewelry. They even have cases to carry everything in and keep it all organized. The lady that helped me was very friendly.
Nail Spa in Southlake is my preferred place to get my pedicures. I had seen so many reports on the news about how you can get pedicures and get things from unlcean spas but the NAIL SPA is very clean and I have watched the clean their foot spas very well. I will continue to go back. They are very gentle and do a great paint job on your toes. Very professional and the price is very competitive to those other salons in the area.
I took hats for a softball team to Arlington Embroidery and they were very quick about getting them back and the logo looked exactly like what I had wanted. They put the names on back and the number on the side. The hats looked great and the price was very reasonable. They are timely and very professional. The store is nice but the mall is not that great.
Luke's Locker is the store for runners and real runners. I go there to get the world's best socks for running. You can't find them anywhere else but Luke's or on-line. The staff knows running and all you have to do it tell them how and how often you run and they can suggest the right shoe and socks. They also have shirts, shorts, etc for running. I got a great strap for my sunglasses there too. The prices are a little high but quality is number one here.
RGB Photo has been the place I have take my holiday photos to for years. I take a family photo and take it to them to blow up and process in a matte finish. They do a wonderful job. They can even take red eye out and fix minor problems. I have nothing bad to say about them. They smile and are so helpful. Once piece of advice, if you are wanting holiday photos- go early. That seems to be their busy time of the year!
I normally hate hardware stores but I like going to Elliotts Hardware. They have more than just tools and at this time of year they have a lot of christmas stuff. I bought a toaster and a pair of gardening shoes there last time I was there. They are like the old hardware stores that carried tools for men and lots of other gift and homeware for woman. They have Lodge cast iron skillets for a good deal. The staff is great and always very nice.
The Japanese Garden at the Botanical Gardens is such a wonderful little escape from everyday life. I have gone and wondered around there many times and love the elm trees and plants that are native to Japan. They even have bonsai trees. They have little Japanese sculpture and a bridge type thing. There is a meditation type area too. You have to pay to go into the garden but it helps maintain it and allows for them to get more plants and areas. There is a lot of parking and the botanical gardens are nice to go thru too. It is close to the zoo and the museum district.
I have passed by Grapevine Bike Center Inc. many times and never thought about it until the day I bent my bike tire on a trail out at Grapevine lake. I took my bike straight to the Bike Center and they said that it was fixable and they did it. I had my bike back in a week and it rode even better than it had when I took it to them. The service guy was wonderful and the price was very good. It did cost a lot but I did a lot of damage. They have limited parking and the store is kinda small but other than that- it is a great place.
