First off, I previously had problems with both my water heater and my fridge. Garner brothers are very difficult to get a hold of, most of my phone calls went to a answering machine. The first experience was very nice experience, the fridge was leaking out water, and he quickly found the problem and fixed it in less than 20 minutes. Next, I called them back for my water heater, it took a week before they responded and when they did look at it, they said they couldn't do anything since there was not enough space to do anything, and just left in a matter of five minutes. From what I remember, the fridge was fixed at a resonable price.
PROS: Good Prices, fixed my fridge nicely
CONS: inconsistant. hard to get a hold of.
I personally enjoy good thai food. But Pat Thai on Bloomfield Ave. is not the best place to go if that's what you seek. Pat Thai provides very average "Pad Thai" the most popular Thai dish. The delivery was extremely long, around 40-45 min. And the cost for a dish was around $9 including tip which I considered overpriced for the quality given. But the portions are pretty large.
My mother had been going to Quality Auto during 2002-2004 years, and recently stopped. For some odd reason, during this period of time, my mothers number of trips to the mechanic increased 8 fold. I cannot say they were taking advantage of my mother but, after leaving quality auto and going to a different mechanic, she hasn't gone to the car repair shop in over a year and a half. Also, during one occasion they repaired "lug nuts" which they said were necessary without me or my mother's consent.
PROS: close to the house. Very pleasant conversationalist.
CONS: Repaired the car without consent. bad repair jobs.
First off, I started to go to Jacks when I suspected my other car repair store was ripping me off causing me to go biweekly to fix it. I went originally from a recommendation from a family member. Jack tells it like it is, very trustworthy, and always looking out for the customer. For example, my bumper feel off (ripped off hooks but no real damage) from a crash, instead of paying 500 dollars to get a new one, he offered to screw on the old for free. 7 of our immediate family now go to him. All postive experiences.
PROS: Everything you want in a good auto repair store.
CONS: Limited hours of operation.
I have been a member of numerous banks, yet American Savings has always come out on top. The service at American Savings is like no other, since it is a local bank, everyone knows everyone. It is very personal unlike large bank chains. Very knowledgeable, and the workers have been working there a long time. Very good free online banking as well. Cons: Not a chain therefore only 2 banks around in Northern New Jersey.
PROS: Good Online Banking. Very Friendly. Knowledgable.
CONS: Not 24 hours. Limited parking. Only two in Northern NJ.
Portions at Willies are noticably smaller than Nevada Diner. Currently they are closed, due to major renovations, and I have heard they are expected to come back. The breakfast meals at Willies are better than Nevada hands down, but the regular lunch and dinner meals, are similar to Nevada's (down 3 blocks) only smaller. Best bet is to go to Willies for breakfast, and Nevada for lunch and dinner.
Not the best diner in New Jersey but, you know what your getting, and at a reasonable price. It a typical New Jersey diner which prides itself on famous pastries and I also must add the waffle fries are a good choice as an appetizer. The portions are usually large. During peak dinner hours, the service gets extremely slow. But, the food is very consistent. Diner does not make very good breakfast meals though.
PROS: Consistant lunch and dinner meals, large portions
CONS: slow service occasionally, and bad breakfast.
The pizza at Angelos can be described as oily, loose, and lacking the right spices. The prices for a slice are over $1.50, which is higher than many other local pizzerias. I like my pizza to have a light crisp to it, but Angelos makes a very unconvincing pizza, which eats more like a spaghetti than a pizza.
PROS: Fast delivery
CONS: Pizza very average and plain. Very oily. Pricey
