I discovered this store after shopping in Goodthings, which is right next door. This store is very reasonably priced, and always has something that fits my taste every time I visit. They have everything from candles to frames to shelving and even clocks. It's mostly home accessories, which a person can always need!
I bought both my cats at this store, and have continued to bring them back there for yearly checkups and shots. I also used to shop there for my previous cat, since he required special food. The staff are knowledgable, and seem to enjoy helping customers out. They even have a wide variety of accessories for pet owners and even outdoor items.
Even though I've only been going to this clinic since August '05, I am so appreciative of their practice that I will never go to a different doctor. Everyone in the office is kind, approachable, and has everyone's best interest at heart. They are Christian based, which makes me feel much more at ease.
I've been to Granite City 3 times and would go back in an instant. The atmosphere is very comfortable, and the food is excellent. The wait staff are always nice and are interactive with their customers, which I like. It is a very warm and inviting place to eat, and I highly recommend it.
I have enjoyed visiting the Institute since I was in grade school. They have such a wide variety of works of art, you can really experience every single genre. In a city where a lot of museums only house modern pieces (Walker, Weisman), the Mpls Institute of Arts is a breath of fresh air for me, and I love it. They have quality historical pieces, while at the same time some of the modern throughout.
The staff are very friendly, both in the galleries and in the museum shop. An added bonus, the parking ramp next door is free! I will continue going to the Institute for the rest of my life.
We discovered this store by accident and have returned many times since! This is the only place that we buy Asian candy and our favorite, potstickers! The variety they have is excellent, and since the place is so large, they never run out of items. ::Applause::
I've had several items framed at Dean Gallery, and they do an outstanding job. I've had many prints done in 'Plastipack,' which is a less expensive way to mount the prints I have that are not neccessarily irreplaceable. The staff are always nice, and are good at giving suggestions on just the right matte and frame that will go with the item you bring in. They also sell many prints in the store and have catalogues you can browse through to buy prints as well.
CONS: Parking is limited, mostly meters and some parking in the rear.
This is the only shop my family and I shop for items we need at home to cook traditional Lebanese food. We get our cracked wheat, lubban and flat bread there, along with olives and grape leaves. They make the VERY BEST spinach pie at Emily's, which I would eat every day if I could.
CONS: The space is small & it's a little tricky navigating in & out w/purchases.
This is the only place I shop for beads and beading accessories. They have a huge selection of every kind of bead you can imagine, and prices are pretty reasonable. They have monthly sales on featured beads, so it is easy to find a great deal frequently. The staff are experienced and are always willing to help you with the project you are working with.
CONS: The parking is a little inconvenient-only meters and few parking spaces.
This is one shop I always go to when I'm searching for a gift for someone. I know that what I find there I won't be able to find at too many other places. The salespeople are great, and whoever decides what to stock in this store has excellent taste! I even love buying my gift wrap and greeting cards there, since I know they have things that are far better than your normal stationary store. Lots of retro items with a mid-century modern feel, which is my favorite!
