Duke Urgent Care South
We had to go to this practice on Good Friday and the wait was awful. We were there to get an xray for my daughter and we waited at least 1 1/2 hours to get to the back, then we had to wait another 1/2 hour to be seen. Once we had the xray we were out of there in no time. I don't know if they took so long because it was a holiday or if it's always like that. If you go, be ready to wait.
UNC Family Medicine Center
As part of the UNC Health Care system, the family practice center has access to some of the best resources around. I've seen a variety of doctors there, but my favorite is the PA Paul Dunn. He takes the time to listen to you and to try to get to the bottom of whatever your issue is. No matter which doctor I've seen, I've been happy with my level of care here.
Animal Hospital The Of Carrboro Inc
We took our pets here for quite some time and were always pleased with the service. The doctors were knowledgeable and the service was great. Everyone took a genuine interest in our pets and were able to treat them no matter what seemed to be the problem. These are great folks who will treat your pets with compassion and great care.
Triangle Veterinary Emergency
We took a few pets here over the years and got good care each time we went. As an after-hours clinic, they did have to prioritize the cases as they came in, but we never felt like we were overlooked in any way. The doctors were efficient and can do quite a bit of treatment on-site. If it's something they can't handle, they will be upfront and let you know. Then they will do what they can for your pet until you can get them somewhere else.
Tyson Animal Hospital
We used to go to Greenwood for our animals care, but we moved, so we changed our vet. When we were there, we got outstanding service. The doctor took her time with us and walked us through the death of one pet and the near death of the other. We got great care with compassion and understanding.
Life's Little Pleasures
I went to Life's Little Pleasures one day when I was in need of a massage. What a nice place! I got a quick appointment and they took the time to talk to me to make sure they were using the best massage technique for me that they could. What a great store this is. They sell a huge variety of funky jewelry as well as bracelets, rings, etc. The pieces are all very reasonably priced. The store in Cary also sells all kinds of accessories like picture frames, etc. If you are looking for something different than the norm, try Light Years.
20/20 Eyeworks
These folks are extremely knowledgeable. Not only do they sell fantastic jewelry, they also design it too. My husband bought me a stunning set of black pearl earrings with a diamond on each from them for Christmas one year and they are one of the nicest things I've ever owned. They are simply designed, but made very well. If you are looking for high-quality jewelry or something designed from scratch, these are the people to see.
Durham Jewelers
My husband bought my engagement ring here and we were completely satisfied. They took the time to explain cut, color, clarity, platinum vs. 24 karat, etc. The prices were excellent and they did everything they could to make us comfortable with the purchase. Years later, I could still go in, and if we happened to see the owner, she would remember our names.
Chicken Noodle Soup Childrens & Infants Wear
Chicken Noodle Soup is a children's resale shop in Carrboro. They usually have a nice selection of children's clothing, toys, books, etc. There are a few new items that they carry such as the wallies for decocrating children's rooms. The prices are good and the selection changes often.
