First, I need to put it straight: IIT is not a trade school since it is very often confused with a well known trade school which is being heavily advertised on TV because of its similar abbreviation. IIT is a Ph.D. granting university and has some great history of technological inventions. It has a Nobel Prize winner on staff. It even has its own Law School (Chicago-Kent) and Business School (Stuart). It is known to some people as located on the South Side of Chicago, but it in fact has multiple campuses: one in downtown which houses the above mentioned Law and Business schools; there is a campus in suburban Wheaton. Institute of Design has its own campus in downtown as well. There are a couple of other places housing different research institutes. IIT is well represented abroad having offices or representation in China and India. In fact, IIT has a very diverse student body having many international students. On one hand, it is good, but, on the other, sometimes you feel on campus as if you are somewhere in Asia, and if it was not for the constant reminders of El (above the ground train) passing through campus and the view of the Sears Tower in a distance, you could not realize that you were still in Chicago. I received my bachelor?s degree from IIT and even though the campus life always left much to be desired and the male to female ratio sucked, I had some fun at IIT. My education brought me to med school and this is for what I owe IIT my thanks.
This is perhaps one of the more expensive places but it offers more exotic foods and very good quality stuff like good cavier and pate. They also have all sorts of imported cheeses and other foreign foods. They also offer a lot of samples that are really good. Every checkout has a person who stands in front of it to help you put your stuff on the conveyer and they all wear shirts and ties! It's expensive but very high quality.
PROS: really good service, good food
The school is hard but med school is always hard. It is known to prepare students well for step 1 and they tend to do better than the national average. The facilities are all state of the art, computers in the anatomy labs, histology is entirely electronic and everything is accessible by internet. Housing is not cheap but the new apartments are nice and roomy and the food is decent. I would not complain really about getting into any med school so definately I'd come here again.
PROS: good for step 1, good place for studying due to no distractions around
CONS: very expensive, very difficult
This little store with lots of doggie stuff appealed especially to my girlfriend. But being a dog lover myself, I enjoed it as well. Stuff is not very cheap, but it is of a very good quality and just looks very nice so it is hard to resist desire to buy it. They stock a great variety of products such as bowls, collars, leashers, and treats. But they also have much for your home, things like pillows and other decorative things for your home, which will manifest your love for dogs!
This store impressed me from the moment I came in. It has everything you need for outdoor fun. I've never seen so much stuff in one place. Moreover, they really make you feel outdoors - in the wildlife. They have a lot of scenery, and a huge fish tank with bigger fish than I could ever possibly imagine catching. The whole experience shopping or just browsing this store is great. There is even a shooting gallery (very cheap too). I strongly recommend to anybody who likes outdoor sports and spending time in the nature.
This place is really bad, and I have gone there more than once just because it is cheaper. But after last time I am not going there ever again. Employees are not nice, and some of them are just totally rude. When I had my hair cut last time, hair cutter was talking to everybody else in the salon not paying any attention to what she was doing. My hair cut is rather complex and she was rude saying that I was not explaining right what she was supposed to do. That feels horrible when the person who is supposed to be concentrated on your hair is chatting with other people and is not even looking at where she is cutting half of the time. As a result I got the worst hair cut in my life... and I am not picky about these things. Do not go there because there is no guarantee you will not be the next victim.
CONS: Service and quality are horrible
I have been there only once... and I did bunjee jumping. It was the only thing you could do in early spring in Wisconsin :) But it was great. I think that's the only place nearby where you can do something relatively extreme. I am sure they have more stuff in the summer. There are many water parks in Wisconsin Dells, so if you are into extreme... you should try it out. It was not incredibly expensive, and the experience is worth it even though the structure is not very tall. I still would prefer to do it from the bridge sometime, but this was a good practice.
This branch is very nice. The staff always serves you very quickly. I had a small problem and they dealt with it patiently and in a professional manner. I think recommending a bank is not something you can do so easily, but if you want a good service and live in the area, stop by this branch and check it out.
During busy seasons this airport is mayhem. There are many delays, and this is annoying. They are trying to fix it up, but it is loosing competition to other national hubs. It is true that it is clean, but Midway has brushed up recently and is comparable nowadays to O'Hare. I would not recommend using it unless there is not alternative, like if you have to go internationally.
You would imagine that since the store is not big it would be easy to find things... but apparently not. More than once I was trying to find a particular movie, and neither I nor staff were able to find it even though their system would show that it should be in store. Well, this is not to mention that they charged me for being late returning a movie and it was impossible to get rid of the restocking fee. That was when they had their campaign "No more late fees", well, they did not say that there was a "restocking" fee. They said they called me but I did not update the phone number. This is crazy, I am not going there anymore.
