Kirkwood ski resort is huge. There are lots of runs for everyone. And there are lots of people on those runs. The big drawback to Kirkwood is that you have to drive over Carson Pass to get there from the Bay Area. I would rather go to Bear Valley. It is easier to get to and less crowded.
This is a great little place to get your shoes repaired or polished. When the soles of my son's cowboy boots were falling off we took them here. The owner wasn't sure if she could fix them because they are so small. When she saw the look on my son's face she said she would try. We came to pick them up and she had fixed them. I know she worked extra hard on those shoes just to make my son happy. This is a great place.
This Citibank branch has great service. The tellers are always very fast and knowledgeable. Most of them have been working at this branch for years and know a lot of the customers by name. In an age of electronic banking, it is nice to go to a place where you can still talk to a helpful person.
I think shopping for a new mattress is one of the worst shopping experiences ever. When I had to buy a mattress for my son, I went into Mancini's. The salesperson didn't try and oversell me on an expensive mattress. He asked me if the only person that was going to be sleeping on it was a child and recommended an appropriate mattress. Overall, not too bad
Cost Plus has a great selection of home furnishing. They have kitchen tables and living room furniture. They have tableware and cooking utensils. They have a huge selection of wine at very reasonable prices. The service at this location is very good. If they don't have something in stock, they will find it for you.
Lunardis is the best grocery store in town, hands down. They have the most incredible meat, poultry and fish counter. They staff is extremely helpful. If they don't have something in the case, they will get is out of the back an cut it to your specifications. They produce is very fresh. The wine selection is fantastic - better than any other grocery store. I love shopping here.
I usually don't go here because the wait can be very long. The quality of the hair cut is decent. It just depends on who you get. I can never remember the names of the people who cut my hair, so when I go back it is hard to ask for someone that I think is good.
I am not super picky about how my hair is cut. It is nice to have a stylist that cares more about how my hair is cut than I do. The wait is never very long here and the quality is good.
Carter's always has a very nice selection of baby and little kids clothes. Their prices are very competitive and are usually having a sale. I almost always buy two or three extra things because they are either so cheap or so cute.
Sportmart is a great place to go is you are not going to need to ask too many or any questions. It is usually hard to find someone to help you and when you do, they "don't work in that department and need to call someone". Very typical of the large stores. They have a large selection of all the major sports and some minor sports too.
