This store has great clothes, shoes, and accessories. I love their new selection and didn't really shop for vintage clothing until I started looking around here. yes, the new lines are pricey, but no more so than anywhere else.
A big selling point for me is the sales personnel. I've never had a bad experience - they're genuinely helpful and not pushy at all.
Whether looking for new or vintage, i recommend this store!
I used Citi Apts. to help me find a place when I first moved to the city. It's a convenient, free service that will find apts. for you according to your specifications. It's great if you know what you want and don't want to do the leg work - basically, a free broker service. The downside? The apartments they show you are under their mgt, and they charge a bit more than what you may be able to find on your own.
Tried this restuarand on a whim...It's quirky - decorated in a jester theme that borders on tacky. The tables are cramped and the lighting is dark but the food is fabulous. The crab is fresh and delicious - I've had both the whole crab and a crab salad - and the steak is tender and juicy (and that's coming from someone who doesn't like steak!)
PROS: great steak and crab
CONS: close quarters in the dining room, bad decor
This is one of my favorite places for a quick, healthy bite. You select the items you'd like in your salad or sandwich, and they have a good selection of add-ons and sides. The food is fresh, healthy, and in generous portions. It's also inexpensive, and you can dine-in or take it to go.
CONS: crowded when busy
This is a drive-through coffee shop, located conveniently near the 101 freeway entrance. They open early, offer good coffee and a few breakfast items, and have a young, friendly staff.
This is an easy, convenient place to get your dry cleaning done if you're in the area. They offer the standard services and are a very friendly group (I think it may be family-owned?)
Prices are higher than you might find elsewhere for similar services, but I do like their customer services. They also have a computerized system that they use to track your items, which is a nice feature.
This is my favorite place to go for a manicure / pedicure. The
lounge is done in a cozy, girly french country style - very laura ashley - complete with comfy chairs, great magazines, and candy to snack on.
It's not glam or posh but very relaxing and pampering in a warm, friendly sort of way. The prices are great too - what's not to love!
Well, one thing actually. I did get an eyebrow/upper lip wax that I have to say was disappointing. It was done in dim lighting, and when I got home I noticed that a lot was missed. This is the only thing keeping me from rating this a five...go for your nails but skip the wax!
PROS: Great atmosphere, good service, reasonably priced
CONS: Skip the waxing services
i've been here several times for mani/pedis. The actual service is better than average, and they offer several "packaged" services as well, ranging from very basic to more intensive nail services. (i have not used their waxing services). This is a good find for convenient and easy nail care.
PROS: Convenient, good prices
Good mani-pedis at a reasonable/comparable price.I like the convenient location, but be aware of their cancellation policy to avoid being charged for missed appts. They take walk-ins if you time it right, but when i've been there it's been pretty busy.
PROS: good service, reasonable price
I love this salon! The staff is very well trained, friendly and chatty with both clients and between themselves. (the open layout encourages the chit-chat!) The salon itself has an old san francisco feel, with detailed light fixtues and large, beautiful mirrors.
PROS: Great service and decor
