Saz's State House
Saz's is known for their barbeque but they definitly have more to offer. On Sunday's they have a phenomenal brunch that consists of an omelet station, eggs benedict, fresh fruit, carvings stations and more. The price is $18 and well worth it.
Old Country Buffet
If you can't travel the distance to get to the Golden Corral then the Old Country Buffet will have to suffice.
The friend chicken is pretty good and they have good bite size shrimp.
Overall, it's good but not the Golden Corral.
PROS: Fried Chicken, Fried Shrimp
CONS: Macaroni & Cheese, Spaghetti, Meatloaf
Golden Corral Buffet & Grill
The Golden Corral makes the County Buffet look like a soup kitchen. The Golden Corral has at least double the food and dessert options as the Country Buffet and much better quality.
You're thining....must be far more expensive then....not at all....about $2 more than The Country Buffet and well worth it.
Not only that but they also have a breakfast buffet on the weekends.....I plan to try that next.
PROS: Pot Roast, Steaks, Chicken
CONS:
El Greco Restaurant
Can we say HORRIBLE? The only thing this place has going for it are the hours it keeps....which is convenient for the bar crowd. Other than that I think the food was utterly disgusting.
One problem is that they rarely get orders right. Each time I have gone to the restaurant they have messed up my food (and that's putting it nicely). The quality of the food is horrible and I have vowed never to patronize them again.
PROS: the late hours
CONS: the food
Ingrids Hair Gallery
Looking for someone who is going to take personal care of your hair and explain things to you ever step of the way?
Then Kenya is a great stylist to go to. She walks you through your hair type, the kind of products to use and the kind of products to stay away from.
Inovative Health Care
Dr. Chae is an awesome doctor with a great bedside manner and what I also like is that her office hours are convenient with the working class in mind as certain days of the week have convenient evening hours for those of us that work 9-5.
Hectors A Mexican Restaurant
Shredded Beef, Chicken, Pork, Ground Beef, Cheese & Onions, or a combination of any three...these enchiladas are out of sight. Authentic in flavor and texture, these will definitly leave a dynamic taste in your mouth.
We can't forget about the guacamole and salsa...homemade and out of sight as well.
PROS: Enchiladas, Guacamole, Salsa, Tacos
CONS: The restaurant is not big enough
China Palace Restaurant
I only have three words...LOBSTER FRIED RICE......
I have never seen lobster fried rice as an option on another chinese menu here in the city. China Palace not only has it but it is quite flavorful and you will find plenty of lobster meat in the dish.
If you are in the mood for some chinese food and want to taste something common with a twist (and if you like seafood) then you have to try this. It is yummy!
Yen Ching Restaurant Inc
Yen Ching is unlike many other Chinese Restaurants in the city.....they take different chances with their food which is a plus and a minus.
The amount of seafood and meat in their dishes is plentiful. Which is a plus....
The combination of vegetables they put in their dishes is overwhelming.
Which is a minus....
Overall, the food was just okay to me...nothing to write home about and honestly, I have had better.
Hyatt-Milwaukee
My boyfriend recently took me for a romantic dinner at the Polaris Restaurant on top of the Hyatt Regency Downtown. The food was very tasty but this review is more about the location and atmosphere because for me they were the highlight of the evening.
As you dine you are slowly turned to a 360 degree view of the downtown area. At night this is awesome with the well lit buildings and streets and clear night sky. The view was spectacular and it made for a very romantic evening all around.
