We were hoping to stop past for a quick beer but the bar was full so they had to 'seat' us and then got a bit confused as to why we didn't order food.
I've been with Michael Chu for about 3-4 times, and I never get disappointed by him. He's one of the talented and senior guys in hairstylist there. I also heard that Chantone is pretty good too, but I've never get chance to get a haircut with her. You definitely need to make appointment by phone, since they can get really busy on the weekend. There is another Michael there, but I don't recommend it all unless if you are just trying to get a simple one (with machine). It cost $30 and up, but I think it's worth it.
My favorite food from this restaurant is Tandoori chicken (Grilled chicken), it is def the best one I ever had. I never disappoint with all the food I ordered. Most of them are pretty tasty. The negative thing about their food is OIL. Most of the curry menu that they have are pretty oily, and sometimes you could actually see the oil in the top layer of the food. It's pretty busy in the lunch and dinner time, in the worse time we have to wait 30mins to get a seat and another 30mins to get the food, but it's worth waiting. Remember that you can order before you go there.
PROS: tastiest food in bay area, price is cheap
CONS: oily, long wait sometimes, dirty
The great thing about RubySkye is that they always invite well-known world class DJs for show on the weekends, like Tiesto, Paul Van Dyke, Ferry Corsten, Mark Farina, Steve Lawler, Deep Dish.. you named it. First, you really have to appreciate the world of Techno/House/Trance/Electronic music to go to this club, otherwise you are wasting your money. Second, Drinks is around 7-20 bucks, but you will get your money worth, and well this is right in the heart of downtown SF. I wouldn?t be surprised if Ruby Skye is probably on the list of the best club in the world. You will also find a mixed of crowd in this club, Europe, Asian, and some American too.
PROS: Great Sound System, World Class DJs, Open till 3:30am
This is one of my fav restaurants in downtown SF. It tastes exactly like what you get if you go to Indonesia. Their beef fried rice is awesome, Spicy chicken as well. ooh... they have yummy skewers too. Gotta try Indonesian Food at least once in your lifetime!
PROS: great food
I have high expectation coming to this place; you will have to wait about 40-50mins on the weekend nights. Unfortunately, the taste of the food is not as great as other Chinese restaurants. The price was about $10 per dish which is okay for the place like this. But I?ve had so much better Chinese food for less than $10. They made so many mistakes. First, they put too much salt on the fried noodle. And later, I ordered some ice cream dessert, but they mistakenly put some kind of sour mustard on it. Of course, they apologized after all. Ooh one more thing; please don?t use valley parking, because the parking lot is right there.
PROS: the waiters are friendly though
CONS: waited toooo long
They have authentic Indonesian food. Beef Fans, go order 'Beef Rendang'. Indonesian Chicken Satay with peanut sauce, and spicy chicken, yummy... You won?t have a hard time finding a parking around this area. It is only about 1-2 miles from union square, so take a walk, and go shopping in the heart of downtown San Francisco when you are full.
PROS: Indonesian Food
