Handels on Turney Road is the closest ice cream place to me, so I go there pretty often. Their not as good as Honey Hut to me, but they are a lot closer which is why I go there more. They have very good milkshakes, which is my favorite thing to get. The prices low and the employees are nice. Parking is also very nice, although it can be tough to get back out on to Turney Road if you are turning left since there is no traffic light.
China Kitchen is where I go for Chinese Food. They are very close to where I live so it is convenient. They also have very good food. My favorite thing to eat there is the Wonton Soup. The prices are very low, and the lady who takes the orders is nice. I haven't had delivery so I can't comment on that. Overall I like going there.
Eat N Park is a place I go to once in a while. If it was closer to me I would probably go there more often. They offer a large variety of food to choose from, and everything is at a good price. My favorite part are the cookies they sell. I got some a few years ago from a friend who worked there, and I love them. That's not the main reason for going obviously, but it adds to a nice restaurant.
Dots is a clothing store located inside Garfield Mall. It is a nice store. It has some competition in the mall with Fashion Bug there as well, but it still is nice by itself. I've bought things there for birthdays and mother's day. The prices are very good and the store is nicely organized. The employees are nice as well.
I was actually born at Marymount, and still go there to doctors in the building. It's a very nice hospital, clean and a ton of offices. It also has a nice emergency room. One thing that is a minor problem is the parking, sometimes it can take a while to find a space in the first 2 rows of cars. Sometimes I have to park pretty far from the building and walk there. Other then that it is a very nice hospital.
York Video is a pretty nice store to rent movies and games. The prices are close with the other local stores, like Blockbuster and Hollywood Video for movies, but games is where there is a problem. After I went there for a pretty long time, when you rented a game you are required to put down a deposit for the retail price of the game that you get back when you return it. This is really dumb in my opinion, and it's the reason I stopped going there. Blockbuster doesn't require anything like that.
I've been here a few times to turn in pop cans that I have saved. Everything is weighed by the pound to determine how much money you will get. I didn't get much but it's better then nothing if I had thrown the cans away. The place isn't very big, but there's not much you need other then a scale.
I've went to this store a few times to buy gift cards for my mom for her birthday or Mother's Day, and it's a nice store. It's pretty big, so there is a lot to choose from. The staff there is very nice and helpful. My mom loves going there as well, so it's a nice place to give a gift card to. For women's clothes, I think it's a good place.
I've went here a few times with my brother to get shoes for him and it's a nice place. Everything in the aisles is labeled by size, and is organized. The prices are cheap and normally they have a Buy 1 Get 1 half off sale or something similar. For the cost, I think the shoes are very nice.
I've golfed at Shawnee a few times and it is a nice course. The prices aren't expensive, and the course is overall kept in good shape. The grass is nice, and the greens are clean. I'm not a good golfer, but I still had fun on the course. Parking is accessible, and it's easy to call and reserve a tee time.
