I have bounced around a little during the past ten years when it comes to my hair. My main reason was time. I love highlights but I don't have five hours to spend in a salon to get them. I was always disappointed until I met Anne. She is phenomenal, fast and gave me the best highlights that I have ever had. If I moved from Atlanta I would fly back just to see her. I was out in less than two hours which is an all time record for me. I was then off to see Rio for my hair cut. He was a little expensive but more than worth it. He was precise, honest and gave me exactly what I wanted. I would work another job to be able to keep seeing him if I needed to. I am definitely a fan and would never go anywhere else.
PROS: Best talent in the city
CONS: Pricy but worth it
I woke up to two flat tires on my car the other day. Not to worry, my friendly neighborhood Costco is 3 miles away. I began calling them at 9 in the morning but no one ever answered the phone. I called the Customer Service desk and she said that they were probably busy. I tried for three hours to get someone to answer the phone so I could get a quote or at least find out if they had my tires available. I finally borrowed my husbands car and went into the location. Imagine my surprise to find that the phone next to the front desk had been turned all the way down so that you can barely hear it ringing. The employee that helped me was pleasant but he said that they were too busy to answer the phone. ????? He gave me a quote on tires. They only had the most expensive available and I would have to wait almost a week for the mid-priced version. I am a devoted Costco shopper who will NEVER use the Tire Center again. Very disappointing.
PROS: Low priced tires
CONS: Don't bother calling, they will not pick up
I just picked my car up from this location a few days ago after purchasing two new tires. They were professional, polite and made me feel as if they appreciated my business. Costco could not get tires in for my vehicles for 5-7 days. One call to Kauffman Tire and they had tires for me the next morning. I would not go to any other place after this. TOP NOTCH and worth calling!
PROS: Excellent services and great prices
If you are in search of wonderful Italian food, search no more. The Carrabba's Italian Grill at Cumberland has been there for more than 10 years. This restaurant never disappoints. From perfectly cooked Calamari to Chicken Marsala or Tagliarini, there is something for everyone, every budget and every type of eater. We were warmly greeted from the moment that we walked in the door and made to feel as if we were the only customers in the place. What an amazing experience to compliment the outstanding food. I have NEVER had better Italian food anywhere else, even in Italy.
PROS: Wonderful food and excellent service
CONS: Absolutely nothing
My son started at this location over a month ago. We are so pleased with the teachers and staff of the entire school. The location is very secure, you must have a code to get in. My 3 year old is exhausted after every day at school and begs to go back. They have an excellent, established curriculum and provide daily progress reports to parents. My son has improved so much from his last school that his father and I noticed during the first week. He is asking to take Spanish now and also taking Phonics and Kindermusik. You cannot go wrong with this location.
PROS: Many extras available, very dedicated staff
CONS: A bit pricy but worth it
Ashford Academy is a little off the beaten path behind the Chamblee Dunwoody Kroger shopping center. The facilities are a little run down but are kept very clean. The staff is competent. My son did not quite get the pre-school experience that I was looking for so we switched schools. I wanted more of an academic setting and this was more of a daycare.
PROS: Very Reasonable rates and friendly staff
CONS: More of a daycare than preschool
We toured this school several times when making a decision on where to send our son. This was just a daycare and not the learning environment that we felt our child needed. The facility is great but each time we toured, we noticed that the staff had turned over and did not seem to do much more than babysit the kids. For the high prices charged, we expected more of a school/learning type of environment and did not send our son here because of this reason.
PROS: Convenient location
CONS: Very expensive babysitters
The Suzuki Learning Center in Buckhead offers one of the best pre-school learning experiences for the money. My son attended this school for more than two years and thrived in the learning environment. Smaller classes, low student to teacher ratio and a wonderful staff make this almost hidden school in Buckhead, the top in my book. Daily reports tracking progress are sent home with each child. The Director is wonderful and very in tune with the school. This is the best money that we have ever spent. My son had to stop going only because of financial restrictions otherwise he would still be in this top notch school. We miss them a lot!
PROS: Fabulous pre-school setting and great staff!
CONS: Closed on some holidays or other times when daycare is needed, Expensive
