I have been to a lot of subway restaurants and always find them to be a good deal. Every night a different "sandwich of the night" is only $2.50 for a 6" sub. Very good deal if you ask me. They also do an excellent job doing on-the-spot catering for an event. If you are in a jam, subway can whip up 6 feet of sub for you on some platters in no time.
My favorite place to dine out on a special occasion is a hibachi restaurant with a big group. I have been around the state and have hit at least 6 or 7 hibachis, and only found one other restaurant that I would even bother trying to compare to Arirang on Route 9.
Their prices are basically the same as every other hibachi restaurant, except you have to pay $2-3 extra for fried rice instead of white. The hibachi show is the best out of any I have ever seen, so the tiny ammount of extra money is well worth it!
PROS: Great environment, BEST hibachi chef show, great food
CONS: maybe 2-3 dollars more per head, but well worth it!
Went to dinner one evening with my parents and fiance on a visit home while I was still in college. I thought the food was pretty good. Slightly expensive but we had a coupon they were mailing out. If you want to give it a try for dinner I would say go and give it a try.
You can tell you are sitting in a place that becomes a nightclub at night though, if environment is something that bothers you. I would never go near this place at night though, as it is like a magnet for 20-somethings who washed out after graduating Old Bridge High School and never made anything with their lives
CONS: Environment, Night-time crowd
